Union House Hotel is located in De Pere, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. [1]
The hotel was originally run by brothers Nicholas and Fred Altmayer. In 1918, August Maternoski purchased the building. Additions have been made to the hotel in 1885, 1903, 1918 and 1922. It the oldest continuously operated hotel in the area. [2]

Columbus is a city in Columbia County, Wisconsin (mostly) and Dodge County, Wisconsin Counties in the south-central part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 5,540 at the 2020 census. All of this population resided in the Columbia County portion of the city. Columbus is located about 28 miles (45 km) northeast of Madison on the Crawfish River. The Columbia County portion of the city lies within the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area while the Dodge County portion is a part of the Milwaukee-Waukesha-Racine CSA. Nearly all of the city is located within the town of Columbus in Columbia County, though a small portion lies within the town of Elba in Dodge County.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison is a public land-grant research university in Madison, Wisconsin. The 2012 United States House of Representatives elections in Wisconsin were held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, to elect the eight U.S. representatives from Wisconsin, one from each of the state's eight congressional districts. Representatives are elected for two-year terms; those elected served in the 113th Congress from January 2013 until January 2015. The elections coincided with the elections of other federal and state offices, including a quadrennial presidential election and an election to the U.S. Senate. Primary elections were held on August 14, 2012.
