University Institute of Technology RGPV, popularly known as UIT RGPV or UIT RGTU, is a public institution located in Bhopal, India. The institution was established by the government of Madhya Pradesh with the name Government Engineering College (GEC). It is an autonomous institution as of 1986.AICTE Application No./UGC Registration No./College Code is-1-136924 [2]

History

To address the growing need for engineering expertise, the government of Madhya Pradesh created Government Engineering College (GEC) in 1986 in the state capital of Bhopal. The institute initially offered only Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in mechanical engineering and B.E. in Mining Engineering and (b.e) in computer science and engineering.it was declared autonomous in 2002, .it was made a part of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyala (RGPV), technological university of the state of Madhya Pradesh; at that time the institute took its current name (UIT RGPV). Barkatullah University is a state government university in Bhopal, India. Originally known as the University of Bhopal and more informally as Bhopal University, it was renamed in 1988 after the great freedom fighter Prof. Barkatullah, who was born in the area. It is the main university of the capital city and provides degrees to most of the non-technical colleges in and around Bhopal. Funded by the state government, the university has a residential campus and serves as an affiliating university for colleges of seven other districts. Samrat Ashok Technological Institute

Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI) is a Grant-in-Aid Autonomous college in Vidisha in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It was established by Late Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia on 1 November 1960, with a donation from Gangajali Trust fund.
