The untitledThe Officefollow-up series is an upcoming comedy mockumentary series created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman. The series is a follow-up of the American mockumentary series The Office , which originally ran from 2005 to 2013 on NBC. The series will star Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore, and will premiere on Peacock.
In January 2024, it was announced that Greg Daniels (the developer of the American mockumentary sitcom The Office ) was putting a follow-up series of the American The Office into development. The follow-up series will be set in a new office with new characters, but based in the same fictional universe as the original series. [1]
In March 2024, it was announced that the upcoming comedy mockumentary series would be co-created by Daniels and Michael Koman. [2] In May 2024, it was announced that Peacock had ordered the untitled comedy mockumentary series co-created by Daniels and Koman, which will feature the fictional documentary crew that followed the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin, follow a declining historic Midwestern newspaper and its publisher try to resurrect itself with volunteer reporters. The series will be executive produced by Greg Daniels, Michael Koman, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, and Ben Silverman. Production companies involved with the series are Universal Television. [3]

Gregory Martin Daniels is an American screenwriter, television producer, and director. He has worked on several television series, including writing for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons, adapting The Office for the United States, and co-creating Parks and Recreation and King of the Hill. Daniels attended Harvard University, where he befriended and began collaborating with Conan O'Brien. His first writing credit was for Not Necessarily the News, before he was laid off because of budget cuts.
Domhnall Gleeson is an Irish actor and screenwriter. He is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson, with whom he has appeared in a number of films and theatre projects. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts from Dublin Institute of Technology.
