V. S. Vijay is an Indian politician and was a member of the 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from Vellore constituency. He represented the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. [1]

Vijay holds an orthopaedics degree[ citation needed ] and was the Minister for Health in the Government of Tamil Nadu. [2] He had defeated the former MLA, C. Gnanasekaran, who held the Vellore constituency for about 20 years by charan kumar.[ citation needed ]

The elections of 2016 resulted in his constituency being won by P. Karthikeyan. [3]

While on enquiry about why he backed Tamil Nadu Chief minister Edappadi.k.Pazhaniswamy on CAB he said that the party and the commands from the same are priority for him therefore the jamaath of Ranipet removed him from all the posts of Masjid of which he was a member before. He was a member of the 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Ranipet constituency. He represented the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. He was minister of the state for the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare.
