Heathrow Airport, also known as London Heathrow, is a major international airport in London, United Kingdom. Heathrow is the second busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic, as well as the busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic, and the seventh busiest airport in the world by total passenger traffic. It is one of six international airports serving Greater London. In 2018, it handled a record 80.1 million passengers, a 2.7% increase from 2017 as well as 480,339 aircraft movements, a 4,715 increase from 2017.

It is the world's busiest airport for Airbus A320 aircraft. The planned expansion program will increase the airport's capacity to handle 100 million passengers by 2030.
Dubai International Airport is the primary international airport serving Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is the world's busiest airport by international passenger traffic. It is also the third-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic, the sixth-busiest cargo airport in world, the busiest airport for Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 movements, and the airport with the highest average number of passengers per flight. Istanbul Atatürk Airport is an international airport serving Istanbul. As of April 6, 2019, the airport is open only for cargo, maintenance/technical, general aviation, air taxi, business flights and state and diplomatic aircraft while commercial passenger flights have been transferred to the newly built Istanbul Airport. Prior to the move it was the city's main airport, and the biggest airport in Turkey by total number of passengers, destinations served and aircraft movements. First opened in 1912 in Yeşilköy as a military airfield, on the European side of the city, it is located 24 km (15 mi) west of the city centre and served as the main hub for Turkish Airlines until April 2019. The city's other smaller international airport is Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. As of February 2017, 273 non-stop destinations were served from Istanbul-Atatürk, making it the airport with the second-most non-stop destinations worldwide after Frankfurt Airport.

The airport has three operating terminals spread over a total land area of 750 hectares and handles about 950 aircraft movements per day. It handled a record 1,007 aircraft movements on December 09 2018, higher than its earlier record of 1,003 flight movements in a day in June 2018. It handled a record 51 movements in one hour on 16 September 2014.
