In 2016, Rogaland had an unemployment rate of 4.9%, one of the highest in Norway. In 2015, Rogaland had a fertility rate of 1.78 children per woman, which is the highest in the country.

The 0.43-square-kilometre (110-acre) village has a population (2015) of 588, giving the village a population density of 1,367 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,540/sq mi).

The municipality encompassed roughly the southern third of the present-day municipality of Hå. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Ogna where the Ogna Church is located.

The 65-square-kilometre (25 sq mi) municipality was located in the district of Jæren inside the northern part of the present-day municipality of Hå. Ogna Church is a parish church in Hå municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Ogna. The church is part of the Ogna parish in the Jæren deanery in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, stone church was originally built around the year 1250. On 13 November 1991, the church caught fire and was totally ruined. The church was rebuilt by the architects Torsvik og Thesen. The newly rebuilt church was consecrated on 5 June 1995. The church seats about 300 people.

The church seats about 500 people. It was built to replace the Old Nærbø Church which was nearly 200 years old and too small for the community. This church cost about 44 million kr to build.

The church is part of the Nærbø parish in the Jæren deanery in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in 1834 using plans by the architect Hans Linstow. The church seats about 350 people. In 2005, the "new" Nærbø Church was built on the other side of the village to replace this church. This church is now only used for special occasions, while the new church is used for regular worship services and other activities.
