Lechaina is a town and a former municipality in Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Andravida-Kyllini, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 94.567 km2. It is situated 39 km north of the city of Pyrgos, and 60 km southwest of Patras.
Elis also known as Ellis or Ilia is a historic region in the western part of the Peloponnese peninsula of Greece. It is administered as a regional unit of the modern region of Western Greece. Its capital is Pyrgos. Until 2011 it was Elis Prefecture, covering the same territory.
Kastro-Kyllini is a former municipality in Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Andravida-Kyllini, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 49.322 km2. The population was 3,272 in 2021. The municipality Kastro-Kyllini was created in 1999 as part of the Kapodistrias reform from the formerly independent communities Kyllini, Kato Panagia, Kastro and Neochori, that became municipal districts. After the 2011 Kallikratis reform, these municipal districts became (dependent) communities. Its seat of administration was the small port town of Kyllini.
Amaliada is a town and a former municipality in northwestern Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Ilida, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 251.945 km2. It is near the archaeological site of Elis, the city-state whose territory was the site of the ancient Olympic Games. It is situated in the plains of Elis, 6 km from the Ionian Sea. It is 10 km southeast of Gastouni, 16 km northwest of Pyrgos and 60 km southwest of Patras.
Gastouni is a town and a former municipality in Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Pineios, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 59.325 km2. Gastouni is situated in a flat rural area, 5 km from the Ionian Sea. The river Pineios flows into the sea near Gastouni. The town is 6 km (4 mi) south of Andravida, 4 km (2 mi) east of Vartholomio, 11 km (7 mi) northwest of Amaliada and 26 km (16 mi) northwest of Pyrgos. The Greek National Road 9/E55 and the railway from Patras to Pyrgos pass east of Gastouni. There is a 12th-century Byzantine church in the southwestern quarter Katholiki.
Dimitra is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Vartholomio, Elis, Greece. It is situated in a rural plain, north of the river Pineios. It is 2 km northwest of Kardiakafti, 2 km east of Machos, 3 km southeast of Neochori and 3 km northeast of Vartholomio. The community includes the small village Regklaiika. Between 1835 and 1912 Dimitra was part of the municipality of Myrtountia. Between 1912 and 1933 it was part of the community of Kardiakafti. Between 1933 and 1997, when it joined the municipality of Vartholomio, it was an independent community.
Kavasila is a village in the municipal unit of Gastouni, Elis, Greece. Its population is around 1,200. It is situated in a flat rural area, on the right bank of the river Pineios, at about 20 metres (66 ft) elevation. It is 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) northwest of Lefkochori, 2 kilometres (1 mi) east of Kardiakafti, 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of Andravida and 3 kilometres (2 mi) northeast of Gastouni. Kavasila had a train station on the line from Patras to Kalamata via Pyrgos. A branch line to Vartholomio and Kyllini was shut down around 2001. The Greek National Road 9 passes east of the village.
Machos is a community in the municipal unit of Vartholomio, northwestern Elis, Greece. It is situated in a rural plain, 2 km west of Dimitra, 3 km southwest of Neochori and 2 km northwest of Vartholomio.
Kardiakafti is a village in the northwestern part of the municipal unit of Gastouni in Elis, Greece. It is situated in a flat rural area, on the right bank of the river Pineios. It is 2 km west of Kavasila, 2 km southeast of Dimitra, 3 km northwest of Gastouni and 3 km northeast of Vartholomio.
Sosti is a community in the municipal unit of Amaliada, Elis, Greece. It is situated in a rural plain, south of the river Pineios. It is 2 km southwest of Avgeio, 2 km east of Roupaki, 4 km northwest of Chavari, 5 km southeast of Tragano and 8 km north of Amaliada.
Tragano is a town and a former municipality in Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Pineios, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 41.475 km2. Tragano is situated in a flat, rural area, north of the river Pineios. It is 2 km east of Stafidokampos, 4 km east of Andravida, 3 km north of Agia Mavra, 5 km northwest of Avgeio and 8 km northeast of Gastouni. It is 2 km southeast of the Andravida Air Base.
Elis was one of the provinces of the Elis Prefecture. The seat of administration was Pyrgos. Its territory corresponded with that of the current municipalities Andravida-Kyllini, Ilida, Olympia, Pineios and Pyrgos. It was abolished in 2006.

Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Saronikos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 70.636 km2. The town has historically been an Arvanite settlement.
Kryovrysi is a mountain village and a community in the municipal unit of Lasiona, Olympia, Elis, Greece. The community consists of the villages Kryovrysi and Kalyvia. It is situated in the southwestern foothills of Mount Erymanthos, at 960 m elevation. It is 4 km west of Agrampela, 5 km southeast of Kalentzi, 7 km north of Lampeia and 15 km northeast of Antroni. The source of the river Pineios is near Kryovrysi. Downstream from Kryovrysi, near the river bed of the Pineios, is the cave Drakotrypa.
Kalyvia Myrtountion is a village in the municipal unit of Vartholomio, Elis, Greece. It is situated in a flat, rural area, on the right bank of the river Pineios, 4 km from the Ionian Sea. It is 1 km southeast of Vartholomio and 3 km west of Gastouni. In the local government reform under the Capodistrian Plan in 1997 it became a part of the municipality of Vartholomio. The patron saint of Kalyvia is Saint John Chrysostom.
Lygia is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Vartholomio, Elis, Greece. The community includes the villages Arkoudi, Glyfa, Ioniki and Paralia. Lygia is situated in the low hills of the southern part of the Kyllini peninsula, 3 km from the Ionian Sea. It is 4 km southeast of Kastro, 4 km east of Loutra Kyllinis and 4 km west of Vartholomio.
The Vartholomio – Loutra Kyllinis railway line was a meter gauge railway line of the Piraeus, Athens and Peloponnese Railways (SPAP). It branched off the Kavasila–Kyllini railway line at the railway station of Vartholomio, 1 km north of the town at km 5.895 of that line.
Pineios is a municipality in the Elis regional unit, West Greece region, Greece. The seat of the municipality is the town Gastouni. The municipality has an area of 161.496 km2. It was named after the river Pineios.
Kyllini is a port town and a community in the municipal unit of Kastro-Kyllini, Elis, Greece. It is situated on the Ionian Sea coast, 11 km west of Andravida, 28 km northeast of Zakynthos and 39 km northwest of Pyrgos. From the port of Kyllini there are several ferry connections to the Ionian islands Zakynthos and Cephalonia. It was the terminus of the now dismantled Kavasila–Kyllini railway.
