Lajos Baróti was a Hungarian football player and manager. With eleven major titles he is one of the outstanding coaches of his era.
WKW ETO FC Győr or just ETO, is a football club from the city of Győr in Hungary. They are best known for reaching the semi-finals of the European Cup 1964-65. The club has won the Hungarian League four times. In 1904 the club was founded as Győri Vagongyár ETO and has undergone many name changes since. The colours of the club are green and white.
Tamás Pető is a Hungarian former footballer who is currently playing for Lombard-Pápa TFC. He was released by his former club NAC Breda. Pető is a midfielder who was born in Ajka and made his debut in professional football, being part of the FC Veszprém squad in the 1992-93 season. He also played for Győri ETO FC, Videoton FC Fehérvár, Újpest FC and Vasas SC before joining NAC Breda.

Antal Szentmihályi is a former Hungarian footballer. He played for Győri ETO, Vasas SC and Újpesti Dózsa as a goalkeeper. He played 31 games for the Hungary national football team. Szentmihályi is most famous for his participation in the gold medal winning Hungarian team in the 1964, and for playing in the 1962 and 1966 FIFA World Cup, and the 1964 European Nations' Cup. He retired in 1977.

The competition is held annually, starting in September and concluding in April. The teams play in a one-leg knockout system with a final four tournament in the end. The winner of the Hungarian cup get the right to participate in the next year's EHF Cup Winners' Cup, unless they secure a place in the EHF Champions League. If happens so, then the runners-up take the opportunity to represent Hungary in the forthcoming continental event for cup winners.

The 2009–10 Nemzeti Bajnokság I was the fifty-eighth series of the national team handball championship for Hungarian women. The defending champions were Győri Audi ETO KC and they managed to defend their title after winning the playoffs with five victories and only one draw. The regular season began on September 5, 2008 and ended on March 28, 2009. The playoff round finished on May 31, with Fehérép Alcoa FKC beating ASA-Consolis-HNKC for the fifth place.
