Ashish Vidyarthi is an Indian film actor and motivational speaker, known for his work in 11 different languages, predominantly in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Bengali, English, Odia and Marathi cinema. He is noted for his antagonist and character roles. He also acted in TV serial Ham Panchi Ek Chal Ke. In 1995, he received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Drohkaal.

Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi was an Indian journalist, a leader of the Indian National Congress and an independence movement activist. He was an important figure in the non-cooperation movement and the freedom movement of India, who once translated Victor Hugo's novel Ninety-Three, and is mostly known as the founder-editor of the Hindi language newspaper, Pratap.

It is a loose remake of the Tamil film Pudhiya Mugam, written by Revathi and Suresh Menon. The film features songs composed by A. R. Rahman, re-used from Pudhiya Mugam. He founded a Girls Intermediate College at his village Ugu in the memory of his mother.

The Nath Bank was an Indian-owned bank founded by Kshetra Nath Dalal in 1926 in Noakhali, now in Bangladesh but then in undivided India. By 1947 when the Partition of India was imminent, Nath Bank had its head office and three branches in Noakhali district, as well as a branch in Comilla in Tipperah District. Noakhali and Tipperah districts were to become a part of Pakistan, so the bank shifted its head office to Kolkata. During this time the Indian banks were facing severe crisis. In 1949, the Nath Bank had to be bailed out by the Reserve Bank of India. Even that failed to resolve the crisis and the bank was finally liquidated in 1950. The failure of the Nath Bank created a panic among investors.

Bal Krishna Sharma Naveen politician from India

Bal Krishna Sharma, known under the nome de plume Naveen, was an Indian freedom activist, journalist, politician and a poet of Hindi literature. He was a member of the 1st Lok Sabha, representing Kanpur constituency and served the Rajya Sabha as a member from 1957 till his death. He succeeded Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi as the editor of Pratap daily and also served as a member of the Official Languages Commission. His poetry anthologies include Kumkum, Rashmirekha, Apalak, Kwasi, Vinoba Stavan, Urmila and Hum Vishpaee Janam Ke, the last one published posthumously. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1960, for his contributions to literature. India Post issued a commemorative stamp on Sharma in 1989.
