WJLS is a news/talk formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Beckley, West Virginia, serving Southeastern West Virginia. WJLS is owned and operated by West Virginia Radio Company of Raleigh, LLC. The station began broadcasting in 1939, the first radio station in Beckley. From 1943 to 1990 WJLS(AM) was a CBS affiliate. The station had a country music format in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1990 it swapped formats with WJLS-FM. In May 2017 WJLS switched from southern gospel to news/talk.
WJLS-FM is a Country formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Beckley, West Virginia, serving Southeastern West Virginia and Southwestern Virginia. WJLS-FM was formerly owned and operated by First Media Radio, LLC, which in December 2012 announced its intent to sell the station to West Virginia Radio Company of Raleigh, LLC. The sale of WJLS-FM and sister station WJLS was consummated on February 15, 2013 at a price of $4.5 million. It is the second FM radio station to go on the air in West Virginia, and the oldest existing FM station in the state. It utilized the call letters WBKW from 1957 to 1990.

It is headquartered in Charleston with studios in Morgantown and Beckley.
WOAY-TV, virtual and UHF digital channel 50, is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Oak Hill, West Virginia, United States and serving the Bluefield–Beckley–Oak Hill television market, which also covers portions of southwestern Virginia. The station has been locally owned by the Thomas family since its inception. WOAY-TV's studios and transmitter are co-located on Legends Highway in Scarbro, West Virginia, just outside the Oak Hill city limits.
