King and Queen of the Ring, formerly and still commonly known as King of the Ring, is a professional wrestling event produced by WWE, a Connecticut-based professional wrestling promotion. The event was established in 1993 and centers on the men's King of the Ring tournament, which had been established in 1985, and beginning in 2024, the women's Queen of the Ring tournament, which was established in 2021 and originally known as the Queen's Crown tournament.
The 2002 King of the Ring was the 10th annual King of the Ring professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) that featured the 16th King of the Ring tournament. It took place on June 23, 2002, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio and featured wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown! brand divisions. It was the first King of the Ring PPV and tournament held under the WWE name after the promotion had been renamed from World Wrestling Federation (WWF) to WWE the previous month. Another King of the Ring event was produced as a livestreaming event in 2015, but not on PPV, but it returned to PPV and livestreaming in 2024.
The NXT Women's Championship is a women's professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE. It is defended on NXT, the promotion's developmental brand. The current champion is Roxanne Perez, who is in her record-tying second reign. She won the title by defeating Lyra Valkyria at Stand & Deliver on April 6, 2024.

The inaugural champion was Ricochet, who was a member of the Raw roster at the time of his reign. The current champion is Andrade from SmackDown, who is in his first reign, which is the longest reign for the title. He defeated Ricochet during the Speed tapings on June 7, 2024.
WWE Speed is an American professional wrestling streaming television program produced by WWE. It airs on the social media platform X and premiered with two episodes on April 3, 2024. Speed features wrestlers from WWE's Raw, SmackDown, and NXT brands. Episodes have one match each with a time limit of three minutes for regular episodes and five minutes for special episodes for the WWE Speed Championship and the WWE Speed Women's Championship. Matches for Speed are taped in conjunction with WWE's main weekly television programs, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown, and generally occur before the start of said programs.
