Waraikú (Araikú) is an extinct, poorly attested, and unclassified Arawakan language. The only record of this language is in a wordlist published in 1867 by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius. Both Kaufman (1994)[ full citation needed ] and Aikhenvald (1999) [2] leave it unclassified within Northern Arawakan.
Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius was a German botanist and explorer. Between 1817 and 1820, he travelled 10,000 km through Brazil while collecting botanical specimens. His most important work was a comprehensive flora of Brazil, Flora Brasiliensis, which he initiated in 1840 and was completed posthumously in 1906.

Trentepohlia is a genus of filamentous chlorophyte green algae in the family Trentepohliaceae, living free on terrestrial supports such as tree trunks and wet rocks or symbiotically in lichens. The filaments of Trentepohlia have a strong orange colour caused by the presence of large quantities of carotenoid pigments which mask the green of the chlorophyll.
Trachycarpus martianus is a tree in the family Arecaceae. There are two distinct populations: one at 1,500 m (5,000 ft) in the Khasia Hills of Meghalaya state, in northeast India, the other at 2,400 m (8,000 ft) in central northern Nepal. Other populations have been reported in Assam, Sikkim, Burma and southern China. The main identifying characteristics are the regular leaf splits, the coffee bean shaped seeds and the bare, as opposed to fibrous trunk. The new leaf spear and edges of the petioles are covered with a white tomentum.

It was spoken by the Acroá people around the headwaters of the Parnaíba and of the Paranaíba in Bahia, who were later settled in the missions of São José do Duro (Formiga) and in São José de Mossâmedes. The language went extinct before it could be documented; it is only known through a short wordlist collected by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius. Due to an account of Martius' travels appearing in three large volumes from 1823 to 1831, the language probably went extinct sometime around then. Acroá is also known as Akroá, Acroamirim, Coroá and Koroá.
Sabujá (Sapoya), or Pedra Branca, is an extinct Karirian language of northeastern Bahia, Brazil. It is sometimes considered a dialect of a single Kariri language.
