The Welsh Clay Target Shooting Association (WCTSA) is the National Governing Body for Clay Target Shooting in Wales and represents the interests of all its members at National and International level.

Clay pigeon shooting, also known as clay target shooting, and formally known as Inanimate Bird Shooting, is the art of shooting a firearm at special flying targets, known as clay pigeons or clay targets.

Wales is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It is bordered by England to the east, the Irish Sea to the north and west, and the Bristol Channel to the south. The Association is made up of individual members and shooting grounds including some clubs, a board of directors, discipline reps and secretary. All the clay shooting disciplines are catered for with local shoots and also the registered shoots from which competitors are classified, championships are contested and international teams selected.

The WCTSA is a constituent member of the ICTSF (International Clay Target Shooting Federation), ICTSC (International Clay Target Shooting Council) and BICTSF (British International Clay Target Shooting Federation) and the WTSF (Welsh Target Shooting Federation). It does also work closely with the CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association).

WTSF, virtual channel 61, is a Daystar owned-and-operated television station licensed to Ashland, Kentucky, United States and serving the Huntington–Charleston, West Virginia television market. The station is owned by Word of God Fellowship, a subsidiary of the Daystar Television Network. WTSF's studios are located on Bath Avenue in Ashland, and its transmitter is located on a very short tower in Huntington's Rotary Park.

Membership of the WCTSA Ltd offers a comprehensive insurance package for all members which gives third party liability insurance cover up to 10 million pounds when taking part in all shotgun sports including clay shooting, rough shooting, game shooting and wildfowling. In essence a comprehensive package for all shooters.

The 10 metre air pistol is an Olympic shooting event governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). It is similar to 10 metre air rifle in that it is shot with 4.5 mm caliber air guns at a distance of 10 metres (11 yards), and the programme consists of 60 shots within 75 minutes for men, and 60 shots within 75 minutes for women. If Electronic Scoring System (EST) is not available, additionally 15 minutes for men and 10 minutes for women are added to the time limit. Preparation and sighting time of 15 minutes is the same for both men and women. It is also similar to 50 metre pistol despite the shorter distance and the use of air guns, and most top-level male shooters compete in both events.

Sporting Shooters Association of Australia organization

The Sporting Shooters' Association of Australia (SSAA) was established in 1948 to promote the shooting sports and protect firearm owners' interests in Australia. The SSAA currently claims a membership of over 186,000, making it the largest body representing licensed firearm owners in Australia, with interests covering all aspects of recreational shooting and hunting, including firearms collecting and youth education. The SSAA also participates in the ongoing debates on government firearms policies.

Archery GB is the national governing body for the sport of archery in the United Kingdom. The Welsh Target Shooting Federation (WTSF) is the governing body for shooting sports in Wales, based within the Sport Wales National Centre in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. It represents the member bodies of the WTSF—the Welsh Airgun Association (WAA), the Welsh Clay Target Shooting Association (WCTSA), the Welsh Rifle Association (WRA) and the Welsh Small-bore Rifle Association (WSRA)—by promoting and developing shooting sports in Wales.

South African Shooting Sport Confederation (SASSCo) formerly known as South African Shooting Sport Federation (SASSF) is the governing body for shooting sports in South Africa. SASSCo is the highest body responsible for the development and promotion of target shooting sports in South Africa.
