Wen Jia (Wen Chia, Chinese :文嘉; pinyin :Wénjiā); ca. 1501-1583 was a Chinese painter of landscapes and flowers during the Ming Dynasty (13681644).

Wen was born in the Jiangsu province. [1] His style name was 'Xiu Cheng' and his sobriquet was 'Wen Shui'. Wen came from a family of painters. He was the second son of Wen Zhengming, and his brother Wen Peng became a painter as well.

It is Lee's only film, to date, to be shot entirely in his native Taiwan.

In particular, he is famous for his two fu, On the Owl (鵩鳥賦) and his Lament for Qu Yuan (吊屈原賦). He is also the author of the treatise Xinshu (新書), containing political and educational insights.

The Secret of the Magic Gourd, or The Magic Gourd, is a live-action/CGI animation movie made in 2007 by Centro in co-operation with China Movie Co Ltd and Disney. It is the second film based on a 1958 novel by Zhang Tianyi after the 1963 Chinese film. The film is all about an 11-year-old lazy boy, Raymond, learns the meaning of work after a magic gourd, Bailey, grants him anything he wants.

Bayan of the Baarin, or Boyan, was an ethnic Mongol general of the Yuan dynasty of China. He was known to Marco Polo as "Bayan Hundred Eyes". He commanded the army of Kublai Khan against the Southern Song dynasty, ushering in the Southern Song collapse and the conquest of southern China by the Yuan dynasty.

Welcome Home, My Love is a Mandarin Chinese episodic drama produced jointly by Malaysian broadcaster Media Prima Berhad and Singaporean broadcaster MediaCorp TV. This drama serial consists of 25 episodes. It was the 14th joint production between the two companies, although the story lines are set in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It airs every Monday to Thursday, at 10:00 pm on ntv7. It also screened in Singapore on 5 October 2009 and ended on 6 November 2009 on every weekday night at 7:00 pm. Filmed in the Klang Valley area of Kuala Lumpur for three months from late October 2008, the 25-episode series brings together cast members from Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Four Masters of the Ming dynasty are a traditional grouping in Chinese art history of four famous Chinese painters that lived during the Ming dynasty. The group consists of Shen Zhou (1427–1509), Wen Zhengming (1470–1559), Tang Yin (1470–1523), and Qiu Ying (c.1494–c.1552). They were contemporaries, with Shen being the teacher of Wen, while Tang and Qiu was taught by Zhou Chen (1460–1535). All five of the aforementioned painters were part of the Wu School. Their styles and subject matter were varied. Qiu was solely a painter, while the other three developed distinct styles of painting, calligraphy, and poetry.
