The Wiener Volkskonservatorium was a Conservatory in Vienna established between 1923 and 1926 by Ferdinand Grossmann, Emmerich Maday, and Eduard Castle.

In July 2017 it was moved to the list of World Heritage in Danger.

Ferdinand Grossmann was an Austrian choral conductor, vocal teacher and composer.

Eduard Friedrich Ferdinand Castle [kastle] was an Austrian-German Germanist and literary historian.

It was dissolved in 1938 amidst financial difficulties.

Among its faculty were Ferdinand Grossmann, who served as artistic director, Fritz Högler, who served as artistic director, Franz Burkhart, Armin Kaufmann, Viktor Korda, Walter Pach, and Walter Bricht.

Walter Bricht was a noted Austrian-American pianist, composer and teacher.

Vienna State Ballet, Wiener Staatsballett, is considered one of the world's top ballet companies. It was formerly named the Vienna State Opera Ballet as it is based at the Vienna State Opera building. In 2005 the ballets of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Volksoper were merged under the name Das Ballett der Wiener Staatsoper und Volksoper and Gyula Harangozo became the artistic director. The further name change, on September 1, 2010, was accompanied by a change in leadership. Manuel Legris, a former principal dancer with the Paris Opera Ballet, succeeded as the artistic director.

Stefan Großmann was a Viennese writer who became one of the most prominent left-wing liberal journalists of his generation. He was the founder and during its first seven years the producer of the respected political weekly journal Das Tage-Buch.
