William Spicer (18 May 1846 — 22 September 1892) was an English cricketer. He was a left-arm roundarm medium-pace bowler who played for Surrey. He was born in Kensington and died in Kennington.

It was a royal manor in the ancient parish of St Mary, Lambeth in the county of Surrey and was the administrative centre of the parish from 1853. Proximity to central London was key to the development of the area as a residential suburb and it was incorporated into the metropolitan area of London in 1855.

Spicer made a single first-class appearance for the team during the 1870 season, against Yorkshire. Batting in the tailend, Spicer made 2 in the first innings and 14 in the second, and took second-innings bowling figures of 1-17.

The club's limited overs team is called the Yorkshire Vikings. Yorkshire teams formed by earlier organisations, essentially the old Sheffield Cricket Club, played top-class cricket from the 18th century and the county club has always held first-class status. The Australian cricket team toured New Zealand in January and February 1881. The Australians played ten matches against provincial teams, nine of which fielded 22 players with the aim of providing more evenly-matched contests. Two further brief matches were played to fill the allotted time after a scheduled match finished early. As none of the matches were 11-a-side they are not considered to have been first-class.
