Wimbledon & District Football League

The Wimbledon and District Football League is an English regional football league that comprises teams mainly from within the Greater/South East London boundaries. It currently has four divisions, the highest of which, the Premier Division, is situated at the 14th level of the English football league system. Teams may be promoted to Intermediate Division Two of the Surrey South Eastern Combination. The teams in the league have the opportunity to take part in as many as eight different cup competitions: the London FA Junior Cup, the Surrey FA Junior Cup, the Surrey County Cup Lower Junior, the Middlesex FA Junior Cup, the Invitation Cup, the Centenary Cup (Section A and Section B) and the Wimbledon Trophy.

They played the 2017–18 season at Fetcham Grove in Leatherhead having moved out of Kingsmeadow at the end of the 2016–17 season which had been their home since 1989, when they left their original Richmond Road ground. They shared Kingsmeadow with AFC Wimbledon since 2002, who purchased the lease of Kingsmeadow in 2003. The ground was purchased by Chelsea F.C. in 2016, who stipulated that Kingstonian could not remain there.

Wimbledon Football Club was an English football club formed in Wimbledon, south-west London, in 1889 and based at Plough Lane from 1912 to 1991. Founded as Wimbledon Old Centrals, the club were a non-League team for most of their history. Nicknamed "the Dons" and latterly also "the Wombles", they won eight Isthmian League titles, the FA Amateur Cup in 1963 and three successive Southern League championships between 1975 and 1977, and were then elected to the Football League. The team rose quickly from obscurity during the 1980s and were promoted to the then top-flight First Division in 1986, just four seasons after being in the Fourth Division.

Marcus Gayle

Marcus Anthony Gayle is an English-born Jamaican former professional footballer, who was most recently manager of Staines Town. Gayle's primary position was as a striker but also played as a winger and central defender towards the end of his career. His most notable clubs included Wimbledon and Watford before he finished his playing career at AFC Wimbledon. He is a member of the Brentford Hall of Fame and made 230 appearances in two spells with the club. He won 14 caps for Jamaica and was a key player for his country at the 1998 World Cup tournament.

Surrey 2 is a level 10 English Rugby Union League. It is made up of teams predominantly from Surrey and south-west London. Teams play home and away matches from September through to April. Promoted teams move up to Surrey 1 while relegated teams drop down to Surrey 3.
