X Factor Slovakia is a Czech and Slovak reality television music competition created by Simon Cowell and produced by FremantleMedia, on TV Prima and TV JOJ. Based on the original UK show, and an addition to The X Factor franchise, the series finds new singing talent (solo artists and groups ages 12 and over), drawn from public auditions, and they compete against each other for votes. The winner is determined by the show's viewers SMS text voting, and is awarded a recording contract, worth €200,000.
The original judging consisted of Celeste Buckingham, Ondřej Brzobohatý, Sisa Sklovská and Oto Klempíř and Martin "Pyco" Rausch as hosts.
In December it was announced casting in Czech Republic. TV Prima broadcasting this season for Czech viewers and TV JOJ for Slovakian.
TV Prima and TV JOJ has licence for X Factor since 2011. Season in 2012 and 2013 was cancelled. In winter 2013, open casting was held in Slovakia and later in Czech Republic. In first season are 4 category: Boys, Girls, Groups and Over 28s. On January 3, 2014 the first judge of judging panel was announced – Celeste Buckingham. On January 21, 2014 was announced host Martin "Pyco" Rausch. On January 29, the entire judging panel was announced, including Celeste Buckingham, Sisa Sklovská, Ondřej Brzobohatý and Oto Klempíř.

Castings in the Czech Republic were scheduled for December 14 and 15 but was held a month later. Open castings, which are already included as an official jury and the audience were filmed from February 3 to 10 in Bratislava Incheba Expo Arena.

This phase of the competition was filmed in the days February 10 to 12 also in Bratislava Incheba Expo Arena. To bootcamp was 104 contestants and at the end of bootcamp was the top 20 contestants in all four categories assigned to his mentor.

SuperStar Search Slovakia was a casting television show based on the popular British show Pop Idol. The show was a contest to determine the best young singer in Slovakia and was shown by the national TV network STV from season 1 & 2. Season 3 was broadcast by private TV-channel Markíza.
Prima televize is a Czech private television station. Its channel is broadcast from Prague. Its current owner is FTV Prima, spol. s. r. o., which is majority-owned by Czech investment firm GES, in turn owned by Czech oligarch Ivan Zach. The group's current general manager is Marek Singer. It is the first private TV channel in the Czech Republic and the former Czechoslovakia.
TV JOJ is a Slovak private TV channel owned by J&T Enterprises and launched in March 2002. The channel screens serial dramas and TV shows.
SuperStar is a joint Czech-Slovak version of the Idol series' Pop Idol. It was merged from Česko hledá SuperStar and SuperStar Search Slovakia, which previously had three individual seasons each. The first season premiered in September 2009 with castings held in Prague, Brno, Bratislava and Košice. It is broadcast on two channels: «TV Nova» and «Markíza» (Slovakia) which have also been the broadcast stations for the individual seasons. Also both hosts have been their hosts countries before as have been three out of the four judges. To legitimate a fair chance for each country's contestants to reach the final, twelve of the contestants will compete split into genders and nationalities in the semifinals, guaranteeing a 50% share for each country in the top 12.
Lillie Arlene Nicole Jade McCloud, commonly known by her former stage name Nicole McCloud, or Nicole J. McCloud is an American dance and R&B singer. She has recorded five studio albums, What About Me (1986), Jam Packed (1988), Love Town (1998), So What? (2002), "Red Apples" (2015),. Her single "Don't You Want My Love" became an international hit. Other US singles include "Runnin' Away", "Search'n", "One Good Reason", "Rock the House", and the "Alabaster Box" cover. The X Factor is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The ninth series began airing on ITV on 18 August 2012 and ended on 9 December 2012. Dermot O'Leary returned as presenter of the main show on ITV, whilst Caroline Flack and Olly Murs returned to co-present The Xtra Factor on ITV2. Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Tulisa returned as judges. Nicole Scherzinger was confirmed as the fourth permanent judge after Geri Halliwell, Leona Lewis, Rita Ora, Mel B, Anastacia and Scherzinger herself stood in as guest judges for the vacant position left by Kelly Rowland. After the show of 8 December, two of Scherzinger's acts, James Arthur and Jahméne Douglas, became the top two, meaning that Scherzinger was guaranteed to win. Arthur was announced as the winner on 9 December, and released a cover of Shontelle's "Impossible" as his winner's song. As of 2016, it is the most successful winner's single in the show's history.
The X Factor Indonesia is an Indonesian reality television music competition to find new singing talent, contested by aspiring singers drawn from public audition. The show was adopted from British The X Factor and produced by FremantleMedia and Cowell's production company Syco. It is broadcast on RCTI. In 2014, X Factor Indonesia won the Panasonic Gobel Awards for the category Talent and Best Reality Show.
Celeste Rizvana Buckingham is a Slovak singer and songwriter. Buckingham began her career in 2011, after finishing fifth in the second season of Česko Slovenská SuperStar, the joint Czech-Slovak version of Idol.
SuperStar Search Slovakia is a casting television show based on the popular British show Pop Idol. The show is a contest to determine the best young singer in Slovakia. It was broadcast by the national TV network STV in the late 2004 and early 2005. The first season premiered on October 29, 2004, and concluded on April 15, 2005. The main show was aired on Fridays, the accompanying SuperStar Search Slovakia Magazine was broadcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, premiering on December 14, 2004.
The Clique were an Australian pop duo consisting of members Jacinta Gulisano and Jordan Rodrigues. They were formed in 2013 originally as the trio Third Degree, who competed in the fifth season of The X Factor Australia and were the tenth contestant eliminated. The group subsequently signed with Sony Music Australia and released their debut single "Different Kind of Love", which peaked at number 22 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Following the departure of Kelebek in 2014, Third Degree changed their name to The Clique and were no longer signed to Sony Music. The group disbanded in 2015 to pursue solo careers.
Rough Copy were a British boy band from Croydon, London. The group consists of Kazeem Ajobo, Sterling Ramsey and Joseph James Thomas. They were the ninth contestant eliminated on the tenth series of The X Factor in 2013. They originally auditioned for the ninth series in 2012 and got to the "judges' houses" stage, but were forced to back out as Nigerian-born Ajobo was unable to obtain a visa in time, which would have made it almost impossible for him to re-enter the UK.

The X Factor was an Australian television reality music competition, based on the original UK series, to find new singing talent; the winner of which received a Sony Music Australia recording contract. The seventh season premiered on the Seven Network on 13 September 2015 and concluded on 24 November 2015. Luke Jacobz returned as the host of the show. Dannii Minogue was the only judge from the previous season who returned, while Redfoo, Ronan Keating and Natalie Bassingthwaighte were replaced by former judge Guy Sebastian, as well as new judges James Blunt and Chris Isaak. The winner was Cyrus Villanueva and his winner's single "Stone" was released after the final. He was mentored by Isaak, who won as mentor for the first time.
Tvoje tvář má známý hlas is a Czech reality singing series that is aired on Nova. It is both based on the Endemol format Your Face Sounds Familiar and an adaptation of the Spanish Tu cara me suena. The show was first broadcast on March 26, 2016, and is still aired. The show involves eight or ten celebrities portraying various iconic singers each week to win 25,000 CZK for their chosen charity.
Česko Slovenská SuperStar is the joint Czech-Slovak version of Idols merged from Česko hledá SuperStar and Slovensko hľadá SuperStar which previous to that had three individual seasons each. The fifth season castings were held in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Žilina, Bratislava and Košice. The season premiered on February 24, 2018 on TV Nova in the Czech Republic and on February 25, 2018 on Markíza in Slovakia, which have also been the broadcast stations for the individual seasons.

Solveig Lindelof won the season and Oh Land became the winning mentor for the first time and Solveig Lindelof became the first winner in the Danish X Factor history to appear in the bottom two.
