Yana Gupta (née Synková, born 23 April 1979) is a Czech model, actress and author who worked in Mumbai. [1]

Jana Synková was born on April 23, 1979 in Brno, Czechoslovakia. [2] Her parents divorced and she was brought up by her mom alongside her sister with great difficulty as she didn't have much support [3] .

She started her modelling career at the age of 16, and after graduating in Park Architecture and Gardening, she left for Japan, where she modeled for a considerable period of time. She then moved to India, where she spent her initial years at Osho's ashram in Pune. She also got married there to the artist Satyakam Gupta, [4] changing her last name to Gupta.

Dum is a 2003 Indian action film directed by Eeshwar Nivas and produced by Ali and Karim Morani. The film stars Vivek Oberoi, Diya Mirza, Govind Namdeo and Atul Kulkarni in lead roles. Sushant Singh, Mukesh Rishi and Sheeba have supporting roles. The film's music was penned by Sandeep Chowta, which's banner is Sony Music Studios. It is a remake of Tamil hit Dhill (2001). The rights to this film are owned by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.

In 2009, Yana turned writer, with a book on health, How To Love Your Body And Get The Body You Love. [7] She also released a music album. [8] Later in 2011 she again appeared in an item song for the movie Murder 2 [9] .

She performed in the Bigg Boss 6 finale. [10] She reached the finale of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa but lost out to Meiyang Chang. After participating in certain TV shows, she disappeared from bollywood since 2011 and currently resides in her home nation happily married. [11]

Bigg Boss is an Indian reality television game show franchise produced by EndemolShine India through Viacom 18 and Colors, broadcast in India, subsequently syndicated internationally and made available online as VOD through OTT platforms. There have been 7 versions of the show in 7 individual languages spoken in the Indian subcontinent. The first show of the franchise was Bigg Boss in Hindi which debuted in 2006. The franchise has extended its presence in Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Malayalam as of 2018. Though only celebrities were selected to be the housemates in the initial seasons, general public have been auditioned to be on the show in the latest seasons of Hindi, Kannada and Telugu versions of the show
