Yuriy Evgenevich Lorentsson was a Russian rowing coxswain. He was the second rower, after Briton Jack Beresford, to compete at five Olympics. In 1960 he was the coxswain of the Soviet boat which was eliminated in the repechage of the eight event. Four years later he finished fifth with the Soviet boat in the eight competition. At the 1968 Games in Mexico City he won the bronze medal as cox of the Soviet boat in the eights event. In 1972 he coxed the Soviet boat which finished fifth in the coxed pair competition. His last Olympic appearance was in Montreal at the 1976 Olympics when he won the silver medal as part of the Soviet boat in the coxed pairs event.

Sergey Dyachkov is an Azerbaijani former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. Dyachkov qualified for the men's 100 m freestyle at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, by receiving a Universality place from FINA, in an entry time of 57.73. He challenged six other swimmers in heat one, including 34-year-old Mumtaz Ahmed of Pakistan. He raced to fifth place in 58.26, more than half a second (0.50) off his entry time. Dyachkov failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed sixty-seventh overall out of 71 swimmers in the preliminaries.
Yuriy Vasilyevich Smoloviy is a Russian Kazakhstani male water polo player. He was a member of the Russia men's national water polo team and Kazakhstan men's national water polo team, playing as a centre forward. He was a part of the Russian team at the 1996 Summer Olympics and of the Kazakhstani team at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics. On club level he played for Lukoil-Spartak in Russia.
Yuriy Zhuravskyi or Yurii Zhuravskyi, sometimes Yuriy Zhuravskiy is a Ukrainian former bobsledder and decathlete. He competed in the four man bobsleigh event at the 2002 Winter Olympics. In decathlon, he won a national title at the Ukrainian Athletics Championships in 1999.
Yuriy Yermakov is a Ukrainian gymnast. He competed in seven events at the 1996 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the men's artistic team all-around event.
