Bureau for Execution of Criminal Sanctions (Montenegrin: Zavod za izvršenje krivičnih sankcija, abbreviated as ZIKS) is a Montenegrin governmental department administering the national prison system.

Organisation

ZIKS consists of 4 distinct organizational units, 3 of which make up the Spuž prison complex, 9 kilometres (6 mi) northwest of central Podgorica. The Spuž complex was erected in the 1950s, replacing several smaller prisons within Podgorica city proper. ZIKS and Spuž prison are often used interchangeably.

Remand prison

Remand prison (Istražni zatvor) is a pre-trial dentetion prison, located within the Spuž prison complex. It consists of a single three-floor building and a surrounding yard, encircled with a brick wall. It can house 370 suspects, of which 40 beds are within female ward. Usually, there are around 300 suspects awaiting trial at the prison at any time. [1]

Detention and rehabilitation centre Podgorica

Detention and rehabilitation centre Podgorica (Kazneno popravni dom Podgorica, abbreviated as KPD Podgorica) is a facility for incarceration of convicted felons, located within the Spuž prison complex. It houses inmates convicted to prison sentences longer than 6 months. It consists of following housing units:

The KPD has had a chronic problem with overcrowding, with 20% to 30% more inmates incarcerated than nominal capacity allows. [1]

Facility for short term prison sentences

Facility for short term prison sentences (Zatvor za kratke kazne, ZKK) is a separate prison unit within Spuž prison complex, housing inmates that are serving prison sentences shorter than 6 months. It is divided into medium and minimum security sections, and has a capacity of 150 inmates. It consists of a single two-floor pavilion and surrounding yard, encircled with a chain-link fence. [1]

Bijelo Polje prison

Bijelo Polje prison is the only part of ZIKS located outside the Spuž prison complex. The building, erected in 1949, is situated in the urban core of Bijelo Polje, in northern Montenegro. It consists of a prison for convicted felons and a remand prison. Entire facility has a capacity of 110 inmates. It serves as a short term prison sentence facility and a pre-trial detention center. It houses inmates serving longer sentences only when inmates are transferred from Spuž for security reasons, or inmates from northern Montenegro opt to serve there, in order to be closer to their families. The United States Penitentiary, Terre Haute is a high-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Terre Haute, Indiana. It is part of the Federal Correctional Complex, Terre Haute and is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. USP Terre Haute houses a Special Confinement Unit for male federal inmates who have been sentenced to death as well as the federal execution chamber. Most inmates sentenced to death by the U.S. Federal Government are housed in USP Terre Haute prior to execution, although there are some exceptions. Georgia Diagnostic and Classification State Prison

The Battle of Lopate took place in 1796 between Old Montenegro and the Ottoman Empire near Lopate. Using Mahmut-pasha Bushatli's attack on Montenegro, Ottoman forces from Nikšić, Kolašin, Bihor, Bijelo Polje, Gusinje; likewise from Foča, Gacko, Stolac, Blagaj, Nevesinje, Trebinje and Korjenići; began advancing to the Montenegrin border. In early October 1796, when the Battle of Krusi occurred, a unit was organized, consisting of the soldiers from the mentioned towns. This unit attacked the mountains of Morača against the tribespeople of Trebjesa, Morača and Rovci. The unit suffered noticeable casualties. According to available sources, both sides lost about forty people.

North Central Correctional Institution

North Central Correctional Institution is a medium/minimum security prison located in Gardner, MA. Within the facility are eighteen buildings, with a perimeter consisting of two chain-linked fences topped with razor wire. The perimeter is manned by three towers and foot patrols of K9 teams. It is under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Correction. NCCI is considered a low medium due to the interior design of the facility. It is a converted state hospital facility with many dormitory style units. The inmate population consists of adult male felons serving sentences ranging from 2.5 years to life. On January 6, 2020 there was 974 inmates in general population beds.

Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman

The Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman is a United States federal prison complex for male inmates in unincorporated Sumter County, Florida, near Wildwood. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), a division of the United States Department of Justice.

The 2012–13 Montenegrin First League was the seventh season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. The season began on 11 August 2012 and ended on 1 June 2013. The mid-season winter break began on 2 December 2012 and ended on 7 March 2013. FK Budućnost Podgorica are the defending champions.

Football Association of Montenegro Camp, commonly referred to as simply Camp FSCG, is the training facility and stadiums complex in Podgorica, Montenegro. It is operated by the Football Association of Montenegro, whose seat is inside the complex. Parts of the camp are ownership of FK Budućnost, FK Mladost, FK Ribnica and FK Grafičar.
