Zbyszek Zalinski is a Polish-Irish radio presenter and reporter. He was born in Poland and has been naturalized Irish since 2004. He was a host of Spectrum on RTÉ Radio 1 from 2007 to 2008.
RTÉ Radio 1 is the principal radio channel of Irish public-service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann and is the direct descendant of Dublin radio station 2RN, which began broadcasting on a regular basis on 1 January 1926. The station is a rare modern example of a mixed radio channel, offering a wide spectrum of programming which is mainly speech-based but also includes a fair amount of music.
In 2001, Zalinski went to Ireland to study at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick and later returned to Poland to finish his master's degree. He returned to Ireland in September 2004 and studied for a Ph.D. at Trinity College, Dublin. [1]
Mary Immaculate College, also known as MIC and Mary I, is a College of Education and Liberal Arts. Founded in 1898, the university level College of Education and the Liberal Arts is academically linked with the University of Limerick. The College now has a student population of close on 5,000 enrolled in undergraduate programmes, an Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies programme and a range of postgraduate programmes at Diploma, MA and Ph.D level. The College has a student retention rate of 96% - one of the highest in Ireland.

The city lies on the River Shannon, with the historic core of the city located on King's Island, which is bounded by the Shannon and Abbey Rivers. Limerick is also located at the head of the Shannon Estuary, where the river widens before it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Limerick City and County Council is the local authority for the city.
In 2007, Zalinski joined Irish public broadcaster RTÉ as a presenter of Spectrum on RTÉ Radio 1 Extra. From 2010 to 2014, he was a researcher on John Murray's show.
Raidió Teilifís Éireann is a semi-state company and the national public service media of Ireland. It both produces programmes and broadcasts them on television, radio and the Internet. The radio service began on 1 January 1926, while regular television broadcasts began on 31 December 1961, making it one of the oldest continuously operating public service broadcasters in the world. RTÉ also publishes a weekly lifestyle magazine called the RTÉ Guide.
John Murray is an Irish journalist and broadcaster. Currently heard on Weekend Sport, he presented The John Murray Show on RTÉ Radio 1, "focus[ing] on lifestyle and entertainment items", filling the slot from 09:00 to 10:00 previously occupied by Ryan Tubridy, who moved to RTÉ 2fm. Murray was one of the presenters of Morning Ireland, Ireland's most popular radio show, before going on to host his own weekly programme, The Business.
