Zhuangqiao railway station (simplified Chinese: 庄桥站; traditional Chinese: 莊橋站; pinyin: Zhuāngqiáo Zhàn) is a railway station on the Hangzhou–Ningbo high-speed railway located in Jiangbei District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China.

Zhuangqiao railway station was originally constructed in 1912 as a station on Xiaoshan-Ningbo railway. [1] In 1938, to hinder the advance of Japanese forces, laborers dismantled the tracks of the Xiaoshan-Ningbo railway, which effectively stopped all train services at the station. [2]
The reconstruction of the railway began in 1953, and the station resumed operations in December 1955. Due to technical difficulties of building a bridge across Yao River at the time, Zhuangqiao railway station served as the temporary terminus of Xiaoshan-Ningbo railway from 1955 to 1957. After the completion of the bridge, the terminus shifted to Ningbo railway station. Gradually, Zhuangqiao railway station transitioned to handling only freight operations. [2]
In 2009, the construction of the Hangzhou–Ningbo high-speed railway upgraded the station to a high-speed rail facility. Passenger services resumed in July 2013 with high-speed rail operations. The station was designed with 2 platforms and 4 tracks, with plans for future expansion to 6 platforms and 8 tracks. Its 3,200-square-meter station building can accommodate up to 800 passengers. [1]
The station is served by Line 4 of Ningbo Rail Transit.

The Shanghai–Hangzhou high-speed railway, also known as the Huhang high-speed railway or Huhang passenger railway is a high-speed rail line in China between Shanghai and Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The line is 202 km (126 mi) in length and designed for commercial train service at 350 km/h (215 mph). It was built in 20 months and opened on October 26, 2010. The line shortened travel time between the two cities from 78 to 45 minutes. The line is also used by trains departing Shanghai's terminals for Nanchang, Changsha, Guiyang, and Kunming making it part of the Shanghai–Kunming High-Speed Railway. It has made the proposed Shanghai–Hangzhou Maglev Line unlikely.
The Hangzhou–Ningbo high-speed railway, or Hangyong high-speed railway or Hang–Yong passenger-dedicated railway is a High-speed railway between the major cities of Hangzhou and Ningbo in Zhejiang province. It spans approximately 150 km (93 mi), with a design speed of 350 km/h (220 mph).
The Ningbo–Taizhou–Wenzhou railway or Yong-Tai-Wen railway is a dual-track, electrified, high-speed rail line in Zhejiang Province, China. It is named after the three prefecture-level cities along route: Ningbo, whose abbreviated Chinese name is Yong, Taizhou and Wenzhou. The line has a total length of 282.4 kilometres (175.5 mi) and forms part of Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen railway. Construction began in October 2005, and the line opened to commercial service on September 28, 2009. Trains running on the line reach top speeds of 250 kilometres per hour, and the shortest trip between Ningbo and Wenzhou takes 1 hour 12 minutes.
The Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen railway, also called the Hangshen railway is the dual-track, electrified, high-speed rail lines (HSR) in service along the southeastern coast of China, linking the Yangtze River Delta on the East China Sea and Pearl River Delta on the South China Sea. It is one of the eight arterial high-speed rail corridors of the national 4+4 high-speed rail grid. The southeast coast is the only region of high-speed rail construction where no previous conventional railroads existed. Hence, the high-speed rail lines built on the southeast coast will, for the most part, carry both passenger and freight traffic, and will not be passenger-dedicated lines that comprise most of the other HSR corridors in China.
The Xiaoshan–Ningbo railway or Xiaoyong railway, is a double-track railroad in eastern China between Hangzhou and Ningbo in Zhejiang Province. Its name in Chinese, the Xiaoyong Line, is named after the railway's two terminal stations, Hangzhou South in Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou on the southern bank of Qiantang River, and Ningbo, whose Chinese character abbreviation is yong. The line is 147.3 km (92 mi) long and was originally built in three parts in 1912, 1914 and 1936; rebuilt in 1959, then electrified in 2009. Cities along route include Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Shangyu, Yuyao and Ningbo, all in Zhejiang Province. The Hangzhou–Ningbo high-speed railway runs parallel to the line. The section between Ningbo and Zhuangqiao railway station is proposed to be quadruple-tracked.
The Eastern Zhejiang or Zhedong Canal, also known as the Hangzhou–Ningbo or Hangyong Canal, is a major canal connecting Hangzhou, Shaoxing, and Ningbo in northern Zhejiang, China. It runs 239 kilometres (149 mi), connecting the Qiantang, Cao'e, and Yong watersheds with Hangzhou's terminus for the Grand Canal and Ningbo's ports on the East China Sea. Since 2013, it has been officially considered the southernmost section of the Grand Canal itself.
Ningbo–Yuyao intercity railway is a commuter rail service in Ningbo, Zhejiang, part of the planned Ningbo Intercity Railway network. It runs from Ningbo railway station in Haishu District to Yuyao railway station in Yuyao on the existing Xiaoshan–Ningbo railway. There are also through operation to Shaoxing Tourism New Transit railway. Passengers can transfer to Line 2 and Line 4 of Ningbo Metro at Ningbo railway station.
Shaoxing Urban Rail Line, also known as Shaoxing Tourism New Transit railway or Line S1, is a commuter rail service. It runs from Hangzhou South railway station in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou to Shangyu railway station in Shangyu District, Shaoxing on the existing Xiaoshan–Ningbo railway. There are also through operation to Ningbo–Yuyao intercity railway.
Guniangqiao is a metro station on Line 5 of Hangzhou Metro and Line 1 of Shaoxing Metro in China. It is located in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou.
