It is published in Japan by Bandai Visual and North America initially by Bandai Entertainment. At Otakon 2013, Funimation Entertainment had announced that they have rescued My-Otome Zwei, along with a handful of other former BEI titles. They also announced at the 2017 New York Comic Con that they will release My-HiMe, My-Otome, and a My-Otome Zwei + My-Otome 0: S.ifr pack, all on Blu-Ray + DVD combo packs on January 8, 2018. They will start pre-orders on October 15, 2017.

It was acquired by Ichijinsha, who published the first light novel volume in August 2015 under their Ichijinsha Bunko Iris imprint. Eleven volumes have been released as of August 2021. The light novel has been licensed in North America by J-Novel Club.
Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs is a Japanese light novel series written by Yomu Mishima and illustrated by Monda. It was originally self-published as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform by the author beginning on October 1, 2017, and ending on October 15, 2019, concluding with seven parts and 176 chapters. It later began publishing as a light novel by Micro Magazine under their GC Novels imprint on May 30, 2018. A manga adaptation of the series by Jun Shiosato began serialization on October 5, 2018, and is published under the Dragon Comics Age imprint by Fujimi Shobo. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the light novel and the manga adaptation in English. An anime television series adaptation by ENGI aired from April to June 2022.
