Ziteng Road (Chinese :紫藤路; pinyin :Zǐténg Lù) is a station on the branch line of Line 10 of the Shanghai Metro. It is close to the Shanghai Metro Museum.
Hongkou is a district of Shanghai, forming part of the northern urban core. It has a land area of 23.48 km2 (9.07 sq mi) and a population of 757,498 as of 2020. The district borders Yangpu to the east, Pudong to the southeast, Huangpu to the southwest, Jing'an to the west and Baoshan to the north.
Nanjing Road is a road in Shanghai, the eastern part of which is the main shopping district of Shanghai. It is one of the world's busiest shopping streets, along with Fifth Avenue, Oxford Street, Orchard Road, Takeshita Street and the Champs-Élysées. The street is named after Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province and the former capital of the Republic of China. Today's Nanjing Road comprises two sections, Nanjing Road East and Nanjing Road West.
Xintiandi is an affluent car-free shopping, eating and entertainment district of Shanghai. Xintiandi now refers to the wider area centered around Madang Road which includes both pedestrian-only and motor traffic roads.
Line 1 is a north–south line of the Shanghai Metro. It runs from Fujin Road in the north, via Shanghai Railway Station to Xinzhuang in the south. The first line to open in the Shanghai Metro system, line 1 serves many important points in Shanghai, including People's Square and Xujiahui. Due to the large number of important locations served, this line is extremely busy, with a daily ridership of over 1,000,000 passengers. Generally, the line runs at grade beside the Shanghai–Hangzhou railway in the south, underground in the city center and elevated on the second deck of the North–South Elevated Road in the North. The line is colored red on system maps.
People's Square is a large public square in the Huangpu District of Shanghai. It is south of Nanjing Road (West) and north of Huaihai Road (East).
Hengshan Road, formerly Avenue Pétain, is a street in the former French Concession of Shanghai, China. A major thoroughfare that connected the heart of the French Concession with the Catholic district of Zikawei (Xujiahui), the boulevard was for much of the 20th century the centre of Shanghai's premier residential district. Since the 1990s, many of the mansions along the road have been converted into bars, night clubs, and restaurants. From 2016 onward, many of the bars on Hengshan Road have been closed down or moved away to other new and more popular entertainment districts in the city.
The Shanghai New International Expo Center is an exhibition center in Pudong, Shanghai. It hosts many exhibitions, including the Shanghai Motor Show. It has also hosted the 2002 Tennis Masters Cup, where one of the halls was temporarily converted into a tennis court. With more than 100 exhibitions per year and a turnover rate of 27 (2015), SNIEC is one of the world's most successful exhibition venues.
Shanghai North railway station, located on East Tianmu Road, was the main railway station of Shanghai during most of the 20th century. It was closed in 1987 and a replica of the original 1909 building, erected on the same site, is now the Shanghai Railway Museum. The station tracks are still in use as a coach yard. It was also known as the "沪宁铁路上海车站", referring to the Shanghai–Nanjing Railway, of which it was one terminal.
Gongqing Forest Park is the second-largest park in the city of Shanghai. It is located in the Yangpu District in the north section of the city. To reach the park you can take line 8 on the metro to Shiguang Road. From the metro station the park is a less than 1 km; walk or take a very short taxi ride to it. Being further out the park is somewhat less crowded than Century Park, the largest park of the city.
Lujiabang Road is the name of an interchange station between Lines 8 and 9 on the Shanghai Metro network. It began operation on 29 December 2007 with the opening of line 8. It became an interchange station on 31 December 2009 with the opening of line 9.
Middle Yanggao Road is a station on Line 9 of the Shanghai Metro. It is located at the intersection of Middle Yanggao Road and Minsheng Road in the city's Pudong New Area. It served as the eastern terminus of the line from its opening on 7 April 2010, until 30 December 2017, when an eastern extension of Line 9 opened, extending the line further east to Caolu.
Madang Road became an interchange station between lines 9 and 13 of the Shanghai Metro on 19 December 2015.
Shangcheng Road is a station on Shanghai Metro Line 9. It began operation on December 31, 2009. It is located at the intersection of South Pudong Road and Shangcheng Road.
50 Moganshan Road or "M50" is a contemporary art district in Shanghai, China, that houses a community of more than a hundred artists whose studios are open to the public. It is often compared with New York's SoHo and Beijing's 798 Art Zone. The art quarter has become a popular cultural attraction for local and international visitors alike, and was named among the top ten things to do in Shanghai by Time Magazine.
Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, was the first Free Trade Zone to be established in China. It is situated in the North East of Pudong District, near the end of Metro Line 6. It was incorporated as part of the newly developed China (Shanghai) Pilot Free-Trade Zone on September 29, 2013.
Shanghai Expo Park is a park in the district of Pudong within Shanghai. It is situated in Pudong New Area. It is located near the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
The Shikumen Open House Museum is a museum in the Xintiandi area of Shanghai, China that presents a house in the traditional shikumen style.
Jing An Kerry Centre, or Jing'an Kerry Centre, is an integrated commercial complex situated at No. 1515 Nanjing Road West in Jing'an District, Shanghai, China. The complex comprises three skyscrapers: Towers 1,2, and 3. Tower 1 stands at 132.8 meters (436 ft) tall, Tower 2 is 260 meters (850 ft) tall, and Tower 3 is 197.8 meters (649 ft) tall. The 450,000-square-meter (4,800,000 sq ft) complex features an 86,000 m2 (930,000 sq ft) retail space, 152,000 m2 (1,640,000 sq ft) of office space, the Jing An Shangri-La, 18,000 m2 (190,000 sq ft) of residential space, and a 136,000 m2 (1,460,000 sq ft) underground car park with 1,340 parking spaces.
Opened in 2014, the Shanghai Metro Museum is a museum about the Shanghai Metro, located near the Ziteng Road Station of a branch of the Shanghai Metro Line 10. The museum consists of 3,000 square meters. There are simulators, dioramas, and a 5D cinema. It has been proclaimed that the second part of the museum is under construction and will include items such as the subway parking lot, and control center. It is China's only professional metro museum.
Caoying Road is a station on Line 17 of the Shanghai Metro. The station is located at the intersection of Yinggang Road at Caoying Road in the city's Qingpu District, between Qingpu Xincheng and Dianshanhu Avenue. It opened with the rest of Line 17 on 30 December 2017.
