The 2024 SAFF U-19 Championship is the 6th edition of the SAFF U-19 Championship, an international football competition for men's under-19 national teams organized by South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). It will take place from September 2024 in Kathmandu, Nepal. [1] [2]
India are the defending champions, who won their third title in 2023 by defeating Pakistan in the final on 30 September 2023. [3]
The tournament will be held at the Dasharath Rangasala in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Sri Lanka are ineligible for participation as they are suspended by FIFA. [4] Other six SAFF teams are eligible to participate.

Players born on or after 1 January 2005 are eligible to compete in the tournament. Each team has to register a squad of minimum 16 players and maximum 23 players, minimum two of whom must be goalkeepers.[ citation needed ]

Since most teams use to send their U-15 team keeping in mind 2018 AFC U-16 Championship qualification it has been officially changed to U-15 tournament. The tournament was hosted by Nepal from 18 to 27 of August, 2017 at ANFA Complex, Satdobato and Halchowk Stadium. Six teams from the region took part, divided into two groups.

The tournament was hosted by Nepal from October 25 to November 3, 2018, at ANFA Complex in Lalitpur, Nepal. Six out of seven teams from the region took part, as Sri Lanka later withdrew their team, and the teams were divided into two groups. On 3 November 2018, Bangladesh beat Pakistan to claim their second SAFF title.
