Host desecration is a form of sacrilege in Christian denominations that follow the doctrine of real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. It involves the mistreatment or malicious use of a consecrated host—the sacred bread used in the Eucharistic service of the Divine Liturgy or Mass. It is forbidden by the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches, as well as in certain Protestant traditions. In Catholicism, where the host is held to have been transubstantiated into the body of Jesus Christ, host desecration is among the gravest of sins. Intentional host desecration is not only a mortal sin but also incurs the penalty of excommunication latae sententiae. Throughout history, a number of groups have been accused of desecrating the Eucharist, often with grave consequences due to the spiritual importance of the consecrated host.
United States v. Eichman, 496 U.S. 310 (1990), is a United States Supreme Court case that invalidated a federal law against flag desecration as violating of free speech under the First Amendment. It was argued together with the case United States v. Haggerty. It built on the opinion handed down in the Court's decision the prior year in Texas v. Johnson (1989), which invalidated on First Amendment grounds a Texas state statute banning flag burning.
The Flag Desecration Amendment is an American proposed law, in the form of constitutional amendment to the Bill of Rights, that would allow the U.S. Congress to prohibit by statute and provide punishment for the physical "desecration" of the flag of the United States. The concept of flag desecration continues to provoke a heated debate over protecting a national symbol, preserving free speech, and upholding the liberty said to be represented by that national symbol.
Flag desecration is a term that is applied to the desecration of flags, violation of flag protocol, or a various set of acts that intentionally destroy, damage, or mutilate a flag in public. In the case of a national flag, such action is often intended to make a political point against a country or its policies. Dominator is a British comic character created by Tony Luke, and since his first appearance in 1988 Luke has been chronicling the ongoing adventures of the eponymous Demon God of Rock & Roll in many different forms. Gore and Perversion is the first album by death metal band Desecration, released in its original version on Anoxic Records in 1995. The album was seized and incinerated by the Gwent Constabulary due to the album's offensive content and what was deemed to be its obscene nature, and it was banned. The ensuing court case and media furore established the name Desecration in the South Wales scene and beyond.

The Roll on the Red Tour was a concert tour by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. The tour followed the band's hugely successful By the Way tour. During this tour the band recorded their first live album, Live in Hyde Park. Near the tour's end, the dates mainly consisted of benefit and tribute shows including the Bridge School Benefit and a tribute show to longtime friend, Johnny Ramone. The band's performance was released two years later on DVD as Too Tough to Die: A Tribute to Johnny Ramone. Ramone, who was too sick to attend the tribute, would pass away a three days after the tribute show. John Frusciante was among many famous friends and family to attend his funeral and memorial celebration. On March 17, 2015, the band released Cardiff, Wales: 6/23/04 a free MP3 download of the entire show through their website.
