Gaydar is the supposed ability to identify gay people.

Gaydar is a colloquialism referring to the intuitive ability of a person to assess others' sexual orientations as gay, bisexual or heterosexual. Gaydar relies on verbal and non-verbal clues and LGBT stereotypes. These include the sensitivity to social behaviors and mannerisms; for instance, acknowledging flamboyant body language, the tone of voice used by a person when speaking, overtly rejecting traditional gender roles, a person's occupation, and grooming habits.

Gay.com was a chat, personals, and social networking website catering to the LGBT community. The site was a digital brand of Here Media Inc. In addition to community features, the site featured LGBT-related news and features. As of September 2005, San Jose Mercury News ranked gay.com as the most popular online gay personals site in the United States. As of March 2007, Hitwise ranked it number three in domestic American popularity after Adam4Adam and Manhunt. Gay.com also used to compete internationally with dudesnude, gayromeo, and gaydar.

Terry Ray is an American actor, screenwriter, and producer. Some of his work includes Gaydar and Cost of Living (2009). Ray is the creator and writer of here! TV's sitcom From Here on OUT, the first original gay sitcom created by a gay network. Terry stars in the sitcom, along with Juliet Mills, Suzanne Whang and T.J. Hoban.

Terry Ray's 1987 appearance on Scrabble is noted as number 3 in the 10 Great Gay Moments in Game Show History, after Charles Nelson Reilly and Paul Lynde. In the same appearance, Terry was also named as one of the 5 Weirdest Game Show Contestants Ever, by Movieline.
