Proletarsk (Russian : Пролета́рск) is the name of several inhabited localities in Russia.
Russian is an East Slavic language, which is official in the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as being widely used throughout Eastern Europe, the Baltic states, the Caucasus and Central Asia. It was the de facto language of the Soviet Union until its dissolution on 25 December 1991. Proletarsk is a town and the administrative center of Proletarsky District in Rostov Oblast, Russia, located on the Manych River, on the Rostov-on-Don–Baku railway. Population: 20,267 (2010 Census); 19,572 (2002 Census); 19,422 (1989 Census).
Proletarsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,740 square kilometers (1,060 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Proletarsk. Population: 36,510 ; 36,297 (2002 Census); 36,346 (1989 Census). The population of Proletarsk accounts for 55.5% of the district's total population.
Rostov Oblast is a federal subject of Russia, located in the Southern Federal District. The oblast has an area of 100,800 square kilometers (38,900 sq mi) and a population of 4,277,976, making it the sixth most populous federal subject in Russia. Its administrative center is the city of Rostov-on-Don, which also became the administrative center of the Southern Federal District in 2002.

Starodubsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,760 square kilometers (680 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Starodub. Population: 40,414 (2010 Census); 44,573 ; 51,326 (1989 Census). The population of Starodub accounts for 47.0% of the district's total population.
Bryansk Oblast is a federal subject of Russia. Its administrative center is the city of Bryansk. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 1,278,217.
