The Future Sound of London is a British electronic music group composed of Garry Cobain and Brian Dougans. The duo are often credited with pushing the boundaries of electronic music experimentation and of pioneering a new era of dance music. Although often associated with ambient music, Cobain and Dougans usually resist being typecast into any one particular genre. Their work covers many areas of electronic music, such as ambient techno, house music, trip hop, ambient dub, acid techno. In addition to music composition, their interests have covered a number of areas including film and video, 2D and 3D computer graphics, animation in making almost all their own videos for their singles, radio broadcasting and creating their own electronic devices for sound making. They have released works under numerous aliases.
Keepin' the Summer Alive is the 24th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on March 24, 1980, on Brother, Caribou and CBS Records. Produced by band member Bruce Johnston, following aborted attempts to have founding member Brian Wilson return to his former role, the album is the last with founding drummer Dennis Wilson, who would drown in December 1983. The album also features the Eagles' guitarist Joe Walsh on the opening track "Keepin' the Summer Alive".
Flex-Able is an album by Steve Vai. This was his first as a solo artist, and was created in Stucco Blue, a shed converted into a studio in Vai's old back garden. It is very different from many of his other albums, and is largely influenced by Frank Zappa. Flex-Able does not rely as much on massive guitar arrangements and shred moments as the rest of his output from the 1990s onwards, with the exception of Leftovers which is a compilation of bonus tracks and remasters from his sessions at 'Stucco Blue'.
The Hit Man and Her was a British television dance music show hosted by Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachan. The programme was produced for Granada Television and ran from September 1988 until December 1992.

Earthbeat is a compilation album of Future Sound of London's early releases, using several aliases. All of the tracks on this album are by Garry Cobain and Brian Dougans (FSOL) but under pseudonyms such as 'Mental Cube' and 'Yage'. The duo had been releasing songs under these aliases for around two years before they recorded "Accelerator" as FSOL.

Book of Lightning is the ninth studio album by The Waterboys, released on 2 April 2007 through W14/Universal Records. The album contains ten tracks, produced by Mike Scott and Philip Tennant, with musical contributions from Steve Wickham (fiddle), Richard Naiff (keyboards), Brady Blade (drums), Mark Smith (bass), Leo Abrahams, Jeremy Stacey (drums) plus long-time Waterboys alumni Roddy Lorimer (trumpet), Chris Bruce and Thighpaulsandra (keyboards). Book of Lightning was recorded in London with the exceptions of one song recorded in Vancouver with members of Canadian art-pop band Great Aunt Ida, and another in Scott's home studio.
Stakker Humanoid is a song by Humanoid released in 1988 by the London-based label Westside Records. The influential track was referred to by The Guardian as "the first truly credible UK acid techno record to break into the mainstream."
Zeebox 1984–1987 Vol. 2 is part two of a compilation by Brian Dougans under the pseudonym "Zeebox" and released in 2007 from The Future Sound of London's digital download site. The music within was composed between Manchester and Glasgow in the mid-eighties and is very experimental. A third selection of tracks was promised, with the band's digital shop promoting the volume as the second of three, a promo video on YouTube from Dougans' channel ("STAKKERHUMANOID") recently previewed the third installment titled "Zeebox 3 - Heavily Involved In Drugs".
Zeebox 1984–1987 Vol. 1 is the first part in a three-part collection of music composed by "Zeebox", Brian Dougans, released in 2007. The tracks form a comprehensive look at Dougans' early experimental work between 1984 and 1987 in Glasgow and Manchester.
Eurotechno refers to the musical soundtrack by English group Stakker for their 1989 experimental short film of the same name. The original film was an avant-garde experiment in the audiovisual videola genre and features rapidly shifting colourful computer graphics, reflecting the influence of rave culture. Although the visuals of the film were primarily the work of Stakker members Marek Pytel, Mark McClean and Colin Scott, the musical soundtrack was largely the work of Brian Dougans, later of The Future Sound of London. The 25-minute soundtrack was recorded using a Roland TB-303, and reflects the fast-shifting momentum of the film by incorporating fragmented elements of acid house, Chicago house and Detroit techno that shift after their brief appearances, thus contributing to an intricately layered style.
"Slam" was the second single released by Brian Dougans under his moniker "Humanoid", in 1989, and featured on the Global album. The track itself was the only other acid house single of the era, after Stakker Humanoid, with the following singles released from the album being more vocal led. The track itself features female and male vocals, the former sung and the latter in the form of an MC, distancing itself from the previous single. The single was released over three formats – CD, 7" and 12" – although the track list remained similar on each. The album version appeared as the Club Mix, while the Hip House mix featured more vocals, and Bass Invaders is largely a more instrumental version of the track.
Your Body Sub Atomic is a 20th anniversary remix album of the Stakker Humanoid release and other tracks by Brian Dougans; the remixes are by both new and established artist's and DJ's. The digital download comes with an Adobe flash liner "booklet" detailing the title tracks story and the remixers, it also comes with a high quality video of the "Feadz 2007 Mix" in .m4v format.
Acid house is a subgenre of house music developed around the mid-1980s by DJs from Chicago. The style was defined primarily by the deep basslines and "squelching" sounds of the Roland TB-303 electronic synthesizer-sequencer. Acid house spread to the United Kingdom and continental Europe, where it was played by DJs in the acid house and later rave scenes. By the late 1980s, acid house had moved into the British mainstream, where it had some influence on pop and dance styles.

Announced in early 2014 by 4AD, the album was produced by Walker and Peter Walsh with the help of Mark Warman and released on 21 October 2014. 4AD released a music video for the song "Brando", directed by French filmmaker Gisèle Vienne.
