The Bangladesh men's national cricket team, popularly known as The Tigers, is administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test, One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) status. It played its first Test match in November 2000 against India with a 9 wicket loss in Dhaka, becoming the tenth Test-playing nation.

The Bangladesh national football team is the national recognised football team of Bangladesh and is controlled by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). It is a member of the Asian Football Confederation, and became a member of FIFA in 1974, even though the Bangladesh Football Federation was first founded in 1972. Bangladesh was elected as a member of the AFC Executive Committee in 1982–1986 and 1998–2002. The current Executive Committee was elected democratically, under an AFC approved constitution and direct supervision of FIFA & AFC, in October 2020.

Manu is an Indo-Bangladesh transboundary river that originates below the Kahosib Chura of the Shakhantang Mountains in the Indian state of Tripura, flowing north-east through Kumarghat and Kailasahar, and Passes through the Moulvibazar district of Bangladesh to the Sylhet Plain, later the Dholai River joins Manu and then it flows northwest and meets the Kushiara Manumukh. It is 167 km long, making it the longest river in Tripura. It is located near the town of Manu. The river has a width of 200 meters in the railway bridge area. The area of the basin is 500 square kilometres. The river flows throughout the year.

The Bangladesh Davis Cup team represents Bangladesh in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Bangladesh Tennis Federation.

Data were recorded from all of the districts and upazilas and main cities in Bangladesh including statistical data on population size, households, sex and age distribution, marital status, economically active population, literacy and educational attainment, religion, number of children etc. Bangladesh and India also conducted their first joint census of areas along their border in 2011. According to the census, Hindus constituted 8.5 per cent of the population as of 2011, down from 9.6 per cent in the 2001 census.

Bangavax, also known as Bancovid, is a COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed by a Bangladeshi pharmaceutical company Globe Biotech Limited. The vaccine was initially called Bancovid. On 23 November 2021, Globe Biotech has received ethical authorization from the Bangladesh Medical Research Council to conduct the first human trial.
