Vipul Mehta

Vipul Mehta (born 1990) is an Indian playback singer, originating from Amritsar, Punjab, India. [1] He won the title of Indian Idol in season 6 of the show on 1 September 2012.

Vipul Mehta learned classical singing since he was 8 years old and is studying Mass Communications for a bachelor's degree. [2] In 2008, he became a finalist in Amul STAR Voice of India in the programme's second season, but could not make it to the Final three. [1] In 2012, he applied to Indian Idol 6 and won the sixth season with co-finalist Devendra Pal Singh, 17 becoming runner-up and Amit Kumar third. His debut single was "Rowaan Mein" written and composed by Asad Chohan and produced by Ali Mustafa. Following his win, he also released his debut album Hello Namaste Sat Sri Akal. [2]

Ramgarhia Bunga or Burj is the three-storeyed red stone watchtowers complex located near southeastern edge of the Golden Temple, Amritsar. The two minaret-style Ramgarhia Bunga high towers are visible from the parikrama (circumambulation) walkway around the Harmandir Sahib Sarovar. It is a pre-Ranjit Singh structure built by Sikh warrior and Ramgarhia misl chief Jassa Singh Ramgarhia in late 18th-century, after the 1762 destruction and desecration of the Sikh holy temple and site by the Afghan Muslim forces led by Ahmed Shah Abdali. The Bunga watchtowers-related infrastructure was constructed to station sentinels to watch for any surprise attack, house soldiers to help fortify the area, and to protect the holy complex from desecration.

A takht, or taḵẖat, literally means a throne or seat of authority and is a spiritual and temporal centre of Sikhism. There are five takhts, which are five gurudwaras that have a very special significance for the Sikh community. Three are located in Punjab whilst the remaining two are located outside of it.

Indian Idol is an Indian Hindi-language singing reality show of Sony TV. It is an Indian version of the British show Pop Idol and is part of the Indian Idol series. It has aired on Sony Entertainment Television since 2004. Originally produced by Miditech Studios and its iconic producer-brothers, Niret Alva, Nikhil J Alva and Nivedith Alva, the series was an instant success. The brothers produced the first 5 seasons of the series and were instrumental in laying the foundation for its future success.
