The German School Shanghai(DSSH) (German : Deutsche Schule Shanghai) is a private school in Shanghai, with locations in Hongqiao (DSSH) [1] and Yangpu (DSSY). [2]

The German School Shanghai and the French School of Shanghai (LFS) built a new combined Eurocampus for their students in Hongqiao, completed in 2005.
In September 2007 the Pudong Campus was opened, which is a branch of the DSS. In January 2020 the Pudong school community moved to a newbuilt Campus in Yangpu, the second Eurocampus in Shanghai.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport is one of two international airports serving Shanghai and a major aviation hub of East Asia. Pudong Airport serves both international flights and a smaller number of domestic flights, while the city's other major airport, Shanghai–Hongqiao, mainly serves domestic and regional flights in East Asia. Pudong is a district of Shanghai located east of the Huangpu, the river which flows through central Shanghai. The name Pudong was originally applied to the Huangpu's east bank, directly across from the west bank or Puxi, the historic city center. It now refers to the broader Pudong New Area, a state-level new area which extends all the way to the East China Sea.
Yangpu District is one of the 16 districts of Shanghai. It is located in northeastern part of downtown Shanghai, bordering the Huangpu River on the east and south, Hongkou District on the west, and Baoshan District on the north. The southern part of Yangpu District is 4 km (2.5 mi) away from the Bund, a major tourist attraction. It is predominantly composed of residential communities, with a total area of 60.61 km2 (23.40 sq mi) and a population of 1.313 million as of 2010. The district administers 12 subdistricts.

Minhang District is a suburban district of Shanghai with a land area of 371.57 km2 (143.46 sq mi) and population of 2,429,000 residents as of 2010. The original Minhang consist of present-day Jiangchuan Road Subdistrict and the eastern strip of Wujing along the Huangpu River in 1992, the surrounding Shanghai County merged with Minhang.
Puxi is the historic center of Shanghai, China, and remains the home of approximately 48% of Shanghai's residents in an area of 288 km². Puxi is distinguished from Pudong to its east, which is separated from it by the Huangpu River. Despite the growing importance of Pudong's Lujiazui area, Puxi remains Shanghai's cultural, residential and commercial center.

The geography of Shanghai is characterised by its location on the Yangtze River Delta on China's east coast and its proximity to the Pacific Ocean via the East China Sea. Shanghai Rush is a Chinese reality television program broadcast by International Channel Shanghai as part of the TV scheduling leading up to the 2010 Shanghai Expo and designed to showcase the city. The series borrowed heavily from the themes of the American reality show The Amazing Race and was produced by Fly Films. The show aired in early 2009, and ended broadcast in July of the same year. Shanghai Rush focused on travel throughout the municipality of Shanghai. After finishing Shanghai Rush, International Channel Shanghai acquired the rights to produce a show under the Amazing Race brand, resulting in the 2010 broadcast of The Amazing Race: China Rush. The winning team of Shanghai Rush was Richard Lin and Alice Tsui Lin.

The Hongqiao comprehensive transportation hub is a major intermodal passenger transport hub situated in the western suburb district of Changning and Minhang of Shanghai. The hub consists of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, the intercity high-speed Shanghai Hongqiao railway station, three metro lines, buses, taxicabs and an reserved maglev station for future uses. Hongqiao hub is the first of its kind in China and the model has been followed by various other Chinese cities, including Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
