The AT&T City Center is a 30-story, 390 foot (119 m) office building in Birmingham, Alabama. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.

In 1998 the building was renamed the BellSouth City Center after Brasfield & Gorrie completed an $80 million renovation. Bell South was merged into the current AT&T company in 2006, and the building's name was changed to AT&T City Center. [2] Due to consolidations in corporate structure, AT&T moved all of its employees out of the building by March 2018. [3] This coincided with announcements to consolidated executive positions in Dallas and Los Angeles. [4]

In March 2018 the building was purchased by "600 North 19th Street LLC" of Stamford, Connecticut for $29.25 million. [5] In November of the same year, it was sold to "VCP City Center" a joint venture of Varden Capital Properties of Atlanta, Georgia and Tellus Partners of Norcross, Georgia, for $31 million. [6] The new owners anticipate redeveloping the building as a mixed-use property, combining residential, office and restaurant space. [7] The building is now being converted into a residential apartment building named "The 600", to contain 404 luxury apartment units. Its 28th and 29th floors have been allotted for tenant amenities. A 600-space parking garage to the building's west will serve the tower's residents. [8] [9] [10]

Signature Tower was a projected mixed-use skyscraper which had been approved for construction in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Groundbreaking was originally scheduled for 2007. When completed, it was to contain condominiums, office space, a Kimpton-brand Hotel Palomar Nashville, and retail space. The building was originally planned to have 70 stories and stand 1,030 feet (314 m) in height. That would have made it the tallest building in the Southern United States and the tallest building in the US outside of New York City and Chicago, surpassing Bank of America Plaza in Atlanta by 7 feet (2 m). However, in December 2008, developer Tony Giarratana announced that the project would be downsized, due to the economic recession. Giarratana stated that the number of condos would be reduced from around 600 to under 100, but the average condo size would more than double from an average of 1,500 square feet (140 m2) to 3,500 sq ft (330 m2). The height of the revised Signature Tower was to be 807 feet (246 m) and 50 stories.
