Willis Lamb American physicist (1913–2008)

Willis Eugene Lamb Jr. was an American physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1955 "for his discoveries concerning the fine structure of the hydrogen spectrum." The Nobel Committee that year awarded half the prize to Lamb and the other half to Polykarp Kusch, who won "for his precision determination of the magnetic moment of the electron." Lamb was able to determine precisely a surprising shift in electron energies in a hydrogen atom. Lamb was a professor at the University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences.

Charles Edward Borah was an American athlete, winner of gold medal in 4 × 100 m relay at the 1928 Summer Olympics.

Chinlea is an extinct genus of Triassic mawsoniid coelacanth fish found in and named after the Chinle Formation that crops out in the southwestern states of Arizona and New Mexico. The length of Chinlea was about 80 centimetres (2.6 ft). Chinlea had lobed fins and a slender tail. The teeth were large and sharp.

Bennedict Richard Felder Mathurin is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats before being drafted sixth overall in the 2022 NBA draft by the Pacers. He was named a consensus second-team All-American and Pac-12 Player of the Year after his sophomore season.

Gene Francis Warren Jr. was an American visual effects artist. He won an Academy Award in the category Best Visual Effects for the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Warren died in November 2019 at his home in Hollywood Hills, California, at the age of 78.
