Before that, since 1997 till 2005, a common award for playback was available for both Male and Female singers of all the four South Indian languages.

Yesudas, P. Jayachandran, M.G.Sreekumar, K. S. Chithra, Shreya Ghoshal, Sujatha Mohan, Madhu Balakrishnan, G. Venugopal, Vidhu Prathap, Afsal, Manjari, Jyotsna Radhakrishnan, and Biju Narayanan.

<i>Super Singer 2</i> Season of television series

Airtel Super Singer 2, the second season of the music competition reality show Airtel Super Singer, premiered on 7 July 2008. Episodes were telecasted on Star Vijay between Monday and Wednesday. Judges for the show were Sujatha Mohan, P. Unnikrishnan and Srinivas. Chinmayi was the host of the show until January 2009 and was followed by Malini Yugendran and Yugendran Vasudevan Nair. The voice trainer was Ananth Vaidyanathan.

Aami is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language biographical film based on the life of poet-author Kamala Das. It is written and directed by Kamal and stars Manju Warrier as Kamala Surayya, along with Murali Gopy, Tovino Thomas, Anoop Menon and Anand Bal. The film was released on 9 February 2018. The film won two Kerala State Film Awards.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Tamil is an 2017 Indian-Tamil language reality singing television show, airs on Zee Tamil and streamed on ZEE5. The show based on the Hindi Language show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Over five years, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has rolled out three seasons and Archana Chandhoke has continued as a host for three seasons. The show serves a sequel to the 2016 shows as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs.

SIIMA Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for the best singing by a female playback singer/vocalist of a Telugu-language song. The award was first given in 2012 for songs and films released in 2011.

<i>Urumi</i> (soundtrack) 2011 soundtrack album by Deepak Dev

Urumi is the soundtrack to the 2011 Malayalam-language epic historical drama film of the same name directed by Santosh Sivan. The music is composed by Deepak Dev whose soundtrack featured lyrics written by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, Rafeeq Ahammed and Engandiyur Chandrasekharan. Vairamuthu wrote the Tamil lyrics for the songs whereas Ramajogayya Sastry, Chandrabose, Bhuvana Chandra, Vennelakanti and Rakhi were the lyricists for the Telugu-dubbed versions.
