Freelance diplomacy

Freelance diplomacy is a form of self-financing diplomatic representation used by countries who as a general rule, could not afford to hire expert diplomatic consultants full-time. [1]

A "freelance diplomat" is hired for a specific task or may sometimes be contracted on a permanent basis to run a delegation, mission or embassy. They may also used to promote investment into the country they work for. [2] It is understood to be a performance-based relationship, where the diplomat is paid on results only. [3]

Carne Ross is the founder and executive director of Independent Diplomat, a diplomatic advisory group. Carne Ross taught in Zimbabwe before attending the University of Exeter where he studied economics and politics. He joined the British foreign service in 1989.

Jimmy Carter 39th president of the United States

James Earl Carter Jr. is an American politician and philanthropist who served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as a Georgia State Senator from 1963 to 1967 and as the 76th Governor of Georgia from 1971 to 1975. After his presidency, Carter has remained active in the private sector; in 2002, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in co-founding the Carter Center.

Românii au talent is a TV show which began airing on 18 February 2011. The project acts as a Romanian version of the franchise Got Talent, developed by Simco Limited. Rovana Plumb Romanian politician

Rovana Plumb is a Romanian politician of the Social Democratic Party. She was appointed Minister of Environment and Forests on 7 May 2012. From 5 March 2014 to 9 November 2015, she was the Minister of Labor, Family, Social Protection and Elderly in the Government of Romania. Ion Jinga is a Romanian diplomat working in the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1992. Between 2003 and 2008 he served as the Romanian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and between 2008 and 2015 he held the position of Ambassador of Romania to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
