2008 CIS Men's Soccer Championship

The 2008 CIS Men's Soccer Championship Finals were held from the 6-9 November, 2008 at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. It consisted of 8 teams from the various conferences under the Canadian Interuniversity Sport. The breakdown was host (Carleton), 2 from the OUA, 2 from QSSF, 2 from Canada West and 1 from the AUS.

Ontario (OUA)

The OUA play-off will include the top 6 from each of the east and west divisions. The top 2 will get a bye to the quarter-finals with the 1st round being #6 @ #3 and #5 @ #4. In subsequent rounds, the teams will be repositioned so that the higher seed always plays the lowest. Laurier, York, Carleton and Toronto are the top 4 seeds.

Dave Smart is a Canadian college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Pacific Tigers men's basketball team. U Sports men's soccer is the highest level of amateur play of association football in Canada and operates under the auspices of U Sports, Canada's governing body for university sports. As of the 2018 season, 48 teams from Canadian universities are divided into four athletic conferences, drawing from the four regional associations of U Sports: Canada West Universities Athletic Association, Ontario University Athletics, Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec, and Atlantic University Sport. The 2014 CIS Men's Final 8 Basketball Tournament was held March 7–9, 2014 in Ottawa, Ontario. Host and defending champion Carleton Ravens won the final against the Ottawa Gee-Gees. It was the second of two consecutive CIS Championships to be held at Canadian Tire Centre after the tournament was held in Halifax in 2011 and 2012. This was the fifth time Carleton University has hosted the tournament with the Carleton Ravens guaranteed a spot in the tournament as the host team.

The 2016 CIS Men's University Cup Hockey Tournament was held March 17–20, 2016 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to determine a national champion for the 2015–16 CIS men's ice hockey season. It was the second of two consecutive CIS Championships to be held at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
