Clay C. Christiansen (born June 28,1958) is a retired Major League Baseball pitcher. He played during one season at the major league level for the New York Yankees. He was drafted by the Yankees in the 15th round of the 1980 amateur draft. Christiansen played his first professional season with their Class-A (Short Season) Oneonta Yankees in 1980,and his last with the Houston Astros' Triple-A Tucson Toros in 1988.
Christiansen graduated from Columbus Unified High School in Columbus,Kansas,in 1976. In addition to being an American Legion baseball standout,he was the quarterback of the football team,played basketball and participated in track and field. In his senior year he set a new school record for discus throwing.
After high school,Clay Christiansen attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence,Kansas,where he was a member of the Jayhawks baseball team prior to embarking on his professional career.
Clay married local Kansas City broadcaster Karen Kornacki as they are still married to this day. Clay currently works for Pepsi in Olathe,Kansas as an install driver for the vending department.

Stephen Charles Balboni is an American former Major League Baseball player,who played for the New York Yankees,Seattle Mariners,Kansas City Royals,and Texas Rangers. He was a player with home run power and a tendency to strike out. He was nicknamed "Bye Bye" because of his home run hitting prowess. He was also known by the nickname "Bones",which is a malapropism for Balboni. He is also known for the "Curse of the Balboni",an idea written about by Rany Jazayerli which said no baseball team with a player hitting more than 36 home runs for that team could win the World Series. Since Balboni was the last player to hit 36 home runs and win a World Series,,the curse bore his name. The curse ran from 1985 until Luis Gonzalez and the Arizona Diamondbacks won the 2001 World Series.

He played his entire career in Major League Baseball as a left-handed pitcher for the Kansas City Royals from 1970 to 1984. After his playing career,Splittorff became a television color commentator for the Royals. He was inducted into the Royals Hall of Fame in 1987.
Donald Edward Gullett is an American former professional baseball player and coach. He played in Major League Baseball as a left-handed pitcher from 1970 through 1978,most notably as a member of the Cincinnati Reds dynasty that won four National League pennants and two World Series championships between 1970 and 1976. Gullett was also a member of the New York Yankees teams that won two consecutive World Series championships in 1977 and 1978. After his playing career,he served as pitching coach for the Cincinnati Reds from 1993 to 2005. In 2002,he was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame.
