Czech Lion Award for Best Foreign Film was awards given to the best non-Czech motion picture. It was discontinued in 2014. [1]

According to Variety, The Way Out is a story of a "young gypsy woman trying to lead a 'normal' life [...] in a constant battle against prejudice and her own community's entrenched behavior."

2014 Czech Lion Awards ceremony was held on 14 January 2015. Fair Play received highest number of nominations but eventually failed to win in any category. The Way Out on the other hand won 7 awards, including Best Film category.
