Fifa Riccobono is a music industry consultant and former recording industry executive best known for her time as CEO of Albert Music in Australia. [1]

Albert Music, formerly J Albert and Son is an Australian company with an estimated worth in 2009 of more than A$209 million. The company has major interests in music publishing and production and it currently earns significant royalties through its subsidiary, Albert Productions which manages the music catalogue of the Australian rock band AC/DC. More recently Alberts has formed an alliance with Stuart & Sons to manufacture handcrafted pianos.

Career

Riccobono has been in the music industry for 40+ years [2] starting at J. Albert & Son Pty Ltd (Alberts) becoming chief executive officer of the company in 1990, the first woman to do so in Australia. [1] She was a key figure in the development of Australian bands including AC/DC, [3] The Angels, Rose Tattoo, and Ted Mulry Gang. [1] When appointed as CEO she was one of a small group of women internationally that held senior positions at record companies. [1]

They were later joined by Graham "Buzz" Bidstrup on drums and vocals, and Chris Bailey on bass guitar and vocals. In 1981 Bidstrup was replaced on drums by Brent Eccles. Their studio albums on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart top 10 are No Exit, Dark Room, Night Attack, Two Minute Warning, Howling and Beyond Salvation. Their top 20 singles are "No Secrets" (1980), "Into the Heat" (1981), "We Gotta Get out of This Place" (1987), "Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again", "Let the Night Roll On" and "Dogs Are Talking".

Rose Tattoo Australian band

Rose Tattoo is an Australian rock and roll band, now led by Angry Anderson, that was formed in Sydney in 1976. Their sound is hard rock mixed with blues rock influences, with songs including "Bad Boy for Love", "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw", "Nice Boys", "We Can't Be Beaten" and "Scarred for Life". Their first four albums were produced by Harry Vanda and George Young who also worked with AC/DC. They disbanded in 1987, subsequently reforming briefly in 1993 to support Guns N' Roses on an Australian tour. They reassembled again from 1998 and have since released two more studio albums.

AC/DC founder and guitarist Malcolm Young once said that Riccobono "was always there, from the first day really" [3] and Herm Kovak from the Ted Mulry Gang noted that "Ted Albert and Fifa Riccobono really cared about their acts." [1]

Malcolm Mitchell Young was an Australian musician and songwriter, best known as a co-founder, rhythm guitarist, backing vocalist and songwriter for the hard rock band AC/DC. Except for a brief absence in 1988, he was with the band from its November 1973 beginning until retiring in 2014 due to health reasons. Young and the other members of AC/DC were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

Vanda & Young were a songwriting/producing duo composed of Harry Vanda and George Young. They performed as members of 1960s Australian rock group The Easybeats where Vanda was their lead guitarist and backing singer and Young was their rhythm guitarist and backing singer. Vanda & Young co-wrote most of The Easybeats later hits including their international hit "Friday on My Mind" and they were the record producers for the group from 1967. Young was the older brother of Malcolm and Angus Young of the hard rock band AC/DC, being the record producer behind several of the band's biggest albums.

Geeza are an Australian rock band formed in late 1973 in Sydney by Tony Cini, Gabriel Vendetti, Martin Adamson, Allan Fraiel and Ian Webb.
