ISO/TC251 is the ISO Technical Committee for Asset Management responsible for the development of the ISO 55000 family of standards. These standards define good practices in asset management and requirements for a management system. The standards apply to all types of assets and to all organizations. TC251 was created in March 2015 and currently (as of November 2019) includes members of 35 participating countries, plus 17 observer countries. [1] The Technical Committee manages six workgroups:

The International Organization for Standardization is an international standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations. In contrast to many international organizations, which utilize the British English form of spelling, the ISO uses English with Oxford spelling as one of its official languages along with French and Russian.

ISO 55000 is an international standard covering management of assets of any kind. Before it, a Publicly Available Specification was published by the British Standards Institution in 2004 for physical assets. The ISO 55000 series of Asset Management standards was launched in January 2014.

ISO 28000:2007 is an ISO standard published by International Organization for Standardization which includes requirements of a security management system particularly dealing with security assurance in the supply chain. The standard was developed by ISO/TC 8 on "Ships and maritime technology" and published in 2007. In 2015 the responsibility for the ISO 28000 series was transferred to ISO/TC 292 on "Security and resilience", who in 2019 decided to start a revision which is expected to take 3 years. A justification study for the revision has been accepted by ISO TMB.

Nigel Howard Croft was appointed as Chairman of ISO’s Technical Committee TC 176/SC 2 in February 2010, with overall responsibility for the ISO 9001 standard, used worldwide as a basis for certification of quality management systems, and the ISO 9004 guidelines standard aimed at improving organisational performance, among others. His third and final term as Chairman expired at the end of 2018. He has subsequently been appointed to lead the revision of "Annex SL" of the ISO Directives, that forms the basis for over 40 management system standards including those on environmental management, Occupational Health and Safety, Information Security, Anti-bribery, Food Safety and many more.

ISO/TC 176 is Technical Committee 176 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), responsible for Quality management and quality assurance - the ISO 9000 family of standards.

ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 IT Security techniques is a standardization subcommittee of the Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 develops International Standards, Technical Reports, and Technical Specifications within the field of information and IT security. Standardization activity by this subcommittee includes general methods, management system requirements, techniques and guidelines to address both information security and privacy. Drafts of International Standards by ISO/IEC JTC 1 or any of its subcommittees are sent out to participating national standardization bodies for ballot, comments and contributions. Publication as an ISO/IEC International Standard requires approval by a minimum of 75% of the national bodies casting a vote. The international secretariat of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 is the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) located in Germany.

ISO/TC 292

ISO/TC 292 Security and resilience is a technical committee of the International Organization for Standardization formed in 2015 to develop standards in the area of security and resilience.

ISO/TC 262 Risk management is a technical committee of the International Organization for Standardization established originally in 2011 as Project Committee and converted in August 2012 into a full Technical Committee (TC) to develop standards in the area of risk management. It has 55 Participating Countries and 18 Observing Countries.

ISO 22320:2020, Security and resilience - Business continuity management systems – Guidance to the use of ISO 22301, is an international standard developed by technical committee ISO/TC 292 Security and resilience. This document provides guidance for applying the requirements for a business continuity management system (BCMS) in accordance with the requirements set out in ISO 22301:2019.

ISO 22301:2019, Security and resilience – Business continuity management systems – Requirements, is a management system standard published by International Organization for Standardization that specifies requirements to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and continually improve a documented management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of occurrence, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive incidents when they arise. It is intended to be applicable to all organizations, or parts thereof, regardless of type, size and nature of the organization.

ISO/TC 289 Brand evaluation is Technical Committee n.289 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) formed in 2014 to develop standards in the area of Brand evaluation.
