The Montgomery Women's Facility is a prison for women run by the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC). It is located behind Kilby Correctional Facility in Mt. Meigs, an unincorporated area in Montgomery County, Alabama. [1] Opened in 1976, it has a capacity of 300 inmates; its warden is Adrienne Givens. [2]

The 780-acre (320 ha) campus, which can house 264 boys, is next to Interstate 85 North and about 15 miles (24 km) east of Downtown Montgomery. Since 2015, the separate J. Walter Wood Treatment facility for 24 girls is also located in the Mount Meigs Campus.

Staton, former chairman of the Board of Corrections for the state. Staton, in a partnership with J. F. Ingram State Technical College, provides technical and vocational training for inmates in a variety of disciplines.
