North Central Collegiate Hockey Association (NCCHA) was an ACHA Division III ice hockey league comprising smaller colleges and universities in Western and Northern Plains portions of the United States.

History

The NCCHA began in 2008, and was made up of teams from the defunct Great Plains Collegiate Hockey Association which was in existence since 1993 and the addition of some independent schools from ACHA Division 3 Pacific Region. The conference only lasted a few seasons.

The purpose of the Association is to be an organization of collegiate affiliated programs, which provides structure, regulates operations, and promotes quality in collegiate ice hockey. The interest in college hockey has grown as the game of hockey has grown in the United States. But as aggressively as the sport has grown at the grass-roots level, the number of NCAA programs has not expanded as rapidly to meet the demand as these youth players reach college and look to extend their hockey-playing experience. This is why the ACHA level was created.

Central States Collegiate Hockey League

The Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) is Division I ACHA level hockey-college athletic conference. The CSCHL is in its 48th season of existence and is one of the top ranked ACHA leagues. It currently has 5 member teams in the Midwestern United States.

Minot State Beavers

The Minot State Beavers are the intercollegiate athletic teams of Minot State University (MSU), located in Minot, North Dakota. The Beavers currently in the process of transitioning from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) to the NCAA Division II. The university was previously a member of the NAIA's Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) and competed as an independent as a provisional member for the 2011–12 academic year before joining the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) in 2012. Minot State Beavers men's and women's ice hockey teams currently play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), the men's team plays as is an independent team at the ACHA Men's Division I level and women's team at the ACHA Women's Division II level.

The East Coast Collegiate Hockey Association (ECCHA) is an ACHA college ice hockey conference in the Southeast region of the United States.

The Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) is an ACHA club hockey league comprising colleges and universities in the Midwest.

Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association

The Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association (MACH) is a college ice hockey league based in the Southeastern region of the United States. The conference is part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 2 and is made up of eight teams from colleges and universities based in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference

The South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference (SECHC) is non-varsity ice hockey conference in the Southern United States. The conference plays in Division 3 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The members of the SECHC are predominantly member universities of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in NCAA athletics. Of the 14 members of the SEC, ten teams are members of the SECHC and play in the South and Pacific regions of ACHA Division 3.

Ames/ISU Ice Arena is an ice arena and recreational sport facility located in Ames, Iowa and owned and operated by Ames Parks & Rec Department and Iowa State University. The Ames / ISU Ice Arena is home to the Iowa State University Cyclones Men’s and Women's Hockey Teams, ISU Synchronized Skating Team. The ISU Men's Hockey Team competes at the ACHA Division I level in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League, in addition an auxiliary team competes at the ACHA D II level as members of the North Central Collegiate Hockey Association. ISU Women's Hockey competes as an independent team in the ACHA Women's Division II level.

The Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association (CCWHA) is a non-profit ice hockey league for college club teams based at Midwestern United States schools. It was formed in 1995. There are currently 15 teams participating in two divisions. All teams in the league are also required to be members of the ACHA that provides the teams with USA Hockey insurance and other member benefits.

Western Collegiate Hockey League

The Western Collegiate Hockey League (WCHL) is an ACHA Division I level ice hockey league. The league is made up of seven teams from the Western United States.

Texas Collegiate Hockey Conference

The Texas Collegiate Hockey Conference (TCHC) is a college ice hockey conference within the American Collegiate Hockey Association that plays at the Division II level. All eight members schools are universities located within the state of Texas.

The Lindenwood Lady Lions women's ice hockey team represents Lindenwood University located in St. Charles, Missouri. The Lady Lions currently participate in the NCAA Division I competition as a member of College Hockey America (CHA). The team played with no conference affiliation as an Independent program for its first season of NCAA competition. During the 2011–12 season, Lindenwood was accepted into College Hockey America (CHA) beginning in the 2012–2013 season. Prior to 2011 the university was a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), because the organization does not sponsor women's ice hockey, the program competed in the American Collegiate Hockey Association at the ACHA DI level.

Mountain West Collegiate Hockey League

The Mountain West Collegiate Hockey League (MWCHL) is a collegiate hockey conference within Division 2 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). It is made up of eight universities throughout the Western United States. Four members are from the state of Utah, while the remaining four are from Montana and North Dakota.

National Collegiate Hockey Association

The National Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) is a defunct national organization of men's college- and university-level ice hockey programs in the United States. The NCHA used to be known as the Collegiate Ice Hockey Association (CIHA) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Hockey (NAIH). The association was primarily composed of American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division III teams from the Northeast.

The American Collegiate Hockey Association (1986–1989) (ACHA) was an American college ice hockey conference from 1986 to 1989 made of varsity programs from Division I and Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The league disbanded after three seasons because it did not meet the minimum number of members required to be recognized by the NCAA. The American Collegiate Hockey Association that started in 1991 and governs a national collection of club hockey teams is unaffiliated with the ACHA (1986–1989).

The Missouri State Ice Bears are a college ice hockey team, representing Missouri State University and based in Springfield, Missouri. The team competes in the Western Collegiate Hockey League, part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I.

Western Womens Collegiate Hockey League

The Western Women's Collegiate Hockey League (WWCHL) is an American Collegiate Hockey Association Women's Division 1 club level hockey-only college athletic conference for women's hockey teams. It is one of three ACHA Women's Division 1 conferences, along with the Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association and the Eastern Collegiate Women's Hockey League. The league has a large footprint spreading across the western and midwestern United States, featuring members in Arizona, Colorado and Utah.
