Richard Clifford Surhoff III (born October 3,1962) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) player. A pitcher,Surhoff played for the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies in 1985. He last played professional baseball in 1989.
Surhoff is the older brother of former MLB player B. J. Surhoff,the son of former NBA player Dick Surhoff,and uncle of Austin Surhoff,Brian and Colin Moran.

He started his career with the Milwaukee Brewers (1987–1995) and also played for the Atlanta Braves (2000–2002). Surhoff began his career as a catcher, and after playing third base in the mid-1990s, shifted to become primarily a left fielder.

As a college baseball player for Wake Forest University, he was named an All-American in three seasons. In 2010, he was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame.
