The Seattle Redhawks are the intercollegiate varsity athletic teams of Seattle University of Seattle, Washington. They compete in the NCAA's Division I as a member institution of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
The Sam Houston State Bearkats are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Sam Houston State University, located in Huntsville, Texas. Sam Houston's colors are orange and white and their sports teams' nickname is the Bearkats. Sam Houston sports teams participate in NCAA Division I in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), having joined that conference on July 1, 2021 after spending the previous 34 years in the Southland Conference. SHSU's primary rival is Stephen F. Austin (SFA) and tensions between the two schools can run high before major sporting events that pit one against the other.
Kelly Lee Graves is the current head women's basketball coach at the University of Oregon. Previously, Graves was the head women's basketball coach at St. Mary's from 1997 to 2000, as well as Gonzaga University from 2000 to 2014. He was formerly an assistant coach for the Portland Pilots (1994–1997) and St. Mary Gaels, where he later got his first head coaching stint with the Gaels from 1997 to 2000. From the 2004–2005 season to the 2013–2014 season, he guided Gonzaga to ten consecutive West Coast Conference regular season titles. The 2007 team went 13–1 in conference play, and later won the WCC conference tournament. The school also received its first ever NCAA tournament appearance. He was named WCC co-coach of the year for his accomplishments. In 2005, 2010, and 2011, Gonzaga went undefeated in WCC regular season play.
The Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represents Seattle University in NCAA Division I basketball competition. Established in 1946, the team was previously known as the Seattle Chieftains. The program experienced success during the 1950s and 1960s, reaching the NCAA Division I tournament 11 times. Led by 1958 No. 1 draft pick Elgin Baylor, Seattle finished runner-up in the 1958 NCAA University Division basketball tournament.
The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles refer to the fifteen intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Florida Gulf Coast University, located in Fort Myers, Florida in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis; women's-only: softball, swimming and diving, indoor volleyball, and beach volleyball; and men's-only: baseball. The Eagles compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the ASUN Conference (ASUN). FGCU is also notable as the youngest institution competing in NCAA Division I, having been officially founded in 1991 and started classes in 1997. Their mascot is Azul the Eagle.
The Lamar Lady Cardinals basketball team represents Lamar University in NCAA Division I women's basketball competition. The team plays in the 10,080 seat Montagne Center. After one season in the Western Athletic Conference, Lamar rejoined the Southland Conference on July 11, 2022.
The 2014–15 Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represented Seattle University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redhawks, led by sixth year head coach Cameron Dollar, played their home games at KeyArena, with three home game at the Connolly Center, and were members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 18–16, 7–7 in WAC play to finish in a tie for fourth place. They advanced to the championship game of the WAC tournament where they lost to New Mexico State. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they defeated Pepperdine in the first round and Colorado in the quarterfinals before losing in the semifinals to Loyola–Chicago.
The Kent State Golden Flashes women's basketball team represents Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States. The Golden Flashes compete in the Mid-American Conference East Division and last played in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament in 2002. Founded in 1973 as a club team, the Kent State women's basketball team received varsity status in 1975 and played their first official game in January 1976. Through the 2016–17 season, the Flashes have five total appearances in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament along with three Mid-American Conference tournament championships, five MAC overall titles, and eight MAC East division titles. Home games are held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, which has been the team's home venue since 1977. The head coach is Todd Starkey, who was hired April 19, 2016.

The 2015–16 Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represented Seattle University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redhawks, led by seventh year head coach Cameron Dollar, played their home games at KeyArena, with two home games at the Showare Center and CBI games at the Connolly Center, and were members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 15–17, 7–7 in WAC play to finish in fourth place. They defeated Texas–Rio Grande Valley in the quarterfinals of the WAC tournament to advance to the semifinals where they lost to Cal State Bakersfield. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they defeated Idaho in the first round to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Vermont.
The Stony Brook Seawolves women’s basketball team is the college basketball program representing Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. The Seawolves currently participate as part of the NCAA Division I basketball, and compete on the Colonial Athletic Association. The Seawolves currently play their home games in the Island Federal Credit Union Arena.
The 2016–17 Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represented Seattle University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redhawks, led by eighth-year head coach Cameron Dollar, played their home games at KeyArena and six games at the Connolly Center as members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 13–17, 5–9 WAC play to finish in fifth place. Due to Grand Canyon's postseason ineligibility, they received the No. 4 seed in the WAC tournament where they lost in the quarterfinals to Utah Valley.
The UC Davis Aggies Women's Basketball team represents the University of California, Davis in Davis, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Big West Conference.
The 2017 Western Athletic Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Western Athletic Conference held from November 1–5, 2017. The five match tournament took place at GCU Stadium in Phoenix on the campus of Grand Canyon University. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Seattle Redhawks, but they failed to defend their title after losing the penalty shoot-out tiebreaking procedure following a tie with the Utah Valley Wolverines in the final. This was the second WAC women's soccer tournament championship for the Utah Valley women's soccer program and the first for first-year head coach Chris Lemay.
The 2017–18 Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represented Seattle University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redhawks, led by first-year head coach Jim Hayford, played their home games at KeyArena and the Connolly Center as members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 20–14, 8–6 in WAC play to finish in fourth place. It was the Redhawks' first 20-win season since 2008 and first 20-win season in Division I play since the 1960s.

The Redhawks, led by second-year head coach Jim Hayford, play their home games at the Redhawk Center, with two home games at the ShoWare Center, as members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 18–15, 6–10 in WAC play to finish in a tie for seventh place. They were defeated by Grand Canyon in the quarterfinals of the WAC tournament. They received an invitation to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they lost in the first round to Presbyterian.
The 2019–20 Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represented Seattle University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redhawks, led by third-year head coach Jim Hayford, played their home games at the Redhawk Center, with three home games at the ShoWare Center, as members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 14–15, 7–7 in WAC play to finish in a tie for fifth place. Due to irregularities in conference standings due to cancelled games, they were set to be the No. 3 seed in the WAC tournament, however, the tournament was cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2021–22 Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represented Seattle University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redhawks, led by first-year head coach Chris Victor, competed as members of the Western Athletic Conference. They played their home games at the on-campus Redhawk Center and the recently renovated Climate Pledge Arena.
The 2022–23 Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represented Seattle University in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by second-year head coach Chris Victor, the Redhawks played their home games on campus at the Redhawk Center and off campus at Climate Pledge Arena at Seattle Center.
Gordy Presnell is the women's basketball coach for Boise State University since 2005. Before joining Boise State, Presnell coached boys basketball teams for Lapwai High School and Kendrick High School during the 1980s. After joining Seattle Pacific University as a graduate assistant in 1986, Presnell became their women's basketball coach in 1987. With Seattle Pacific, Presnell's team won three Pacific West Conference events and reached the final of the 2005 NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament. Upon leaving the team in 2005, Presnell had 396 wins and 127 losses.
