History
The first 12 issues were edited by Alan Jones and the next 120 by David Miller. Issue #1 appeared in June 1992. After David Miller left the company, the final half-dozen contained no editor credit. The last issue (number 138) appeared in mid-2008. The magazine was produced by Visual Imagination and regular contributors included David J. Howe, Alan Jones, Ingrid Pitt, Jonathan Rigby, Kim Newman, Cleaver Patterson and Alex Wylie.
The magazine's regular features for much of its run included a News section written by Jones, an item called The Pitt of Horror by Pitt, a book review section by Howe, an Opinion column by Newman and an end-of-magazine film analysis called The Fright of Your Life originated by Patterson and continued by Rigby.
Kim James Newman is an English journalist, film critic and fiction writer. Recurring interests visible in his work include film history and horror fiction—both of which he attributes to seeing Tod Browning's Dracula at the age of eleven—and alternative fictional versions of history. He has won the Bram Stoker Award, the International Horror Guild Award, and the BSFA award.

Judge Dredd: The Megazine is a monthly British comic magazine, launched in September 1990. It is a sister publication to 2000 AD. Its name is a play on words, formed from "magazine" and Judge Dredd's locale Mega-City One.

Dust Devil is a 1992 horror film written and directed by Richard Stanley. The film stars Robert Burke as Hitch, a mysterious man who wanders the deserts in Namibia and is wanted by the police in connection with the death of a woman whose blood was used in a supernatural ceremony. It is believed by a local sangoma that Hitch is a "Dust Devil", a supernatural creature that can change its form. Hitch encounters Wendy played by Chelsea Field, who drives with him along a highway as she is pursued by her estranged husband. As police begin investigating the murders, they seem to trace back to Hitch and Wendy discovers the man has supernatural powers.

As fixation on the film consumes his personal life, he develops a sexual fetish for women's throats, an affinity which begins spreading to global and apocalyptic proportions, as the film's cult status and legend grows.

ABC Film Review was a magazine which began regular releases in 1951 after a 1950 trial. The name was kept until April 1972, by May 1972 it was shortened to simply Film Review. The final issue (#701) came out December 2008. In the 1990s, it advertised itself as "Britain's longest-running film magazine" on the cover.

The House of Hammer was a British black-and-white magazine featuring articles and comics related to the Hammer Film Productions series of horror and science fiction films. The brainchild of Dez Skinn, almost every issue of the magazine featured a comics adaptations of a Hammer film, as well as an original comics backup story, such as the long-running feature Van Helsing's Terror Tales.
