The Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association (TIAA) was an NCAA Division III and NAIA college athletic conference that operated from 1976 to 1996. Its members were all located in the US state of Texas. When the association dissolved in 1996, most of the teams joined the newly formed American Southwest Conference which included teams from other states.

The Lone Star Conference (LSC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. Member institutions are located in the southwestern United States, with schools in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas. Three schools in the Pacific Northwest—one each in Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian province of British Columbia—became football-only members in 2022.
The American Southwest Conference (ASC) is a college athletic conference, founded in 1996, whose member schools compete in the NCAA's Division III. The schools are located in Texas and Arkansas. The conference competes in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, and women's volleyball.
Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame, based in The Hangar Flight Museum in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, commemorates and honours those whose accomplishments in aviation contributed so much to Canada's development as a nation. O.H. Cooper High School is a public high school located in Abilene, Texas. It opened in 1960, in part to handle the increase in school age youth resulting from the Post World War II Baby Boom. It is one of three 4-year high schools within Abilene Independent School District.

He regularly toured and recorded with Al Jarreau for over 3 decades and also was a musician on the albums of Michael Jackson's Bad, Thriller and Off The Wall.
