The Tunisian Women's Handball League or the National Women's Handball A League is the Tunisian women's handball Top Division. The league started in 1963, it is Rule by The Tunisian Handball Federation. Club Africain is the dominant club with more than 29 titles record 17 of them are consecutive, Followed by ASF Sahel by 13 title and in third rank we find ASE Ariana by 7 titles, However The league serve as a Qualified Tournament to the African competitions such as Champions League and also the Cup Winners' Cup. Faouzi Benzarti is a Tunisian professional football manager and former player and the current head coach of the Casablanca-based Wydad AC. He spent his entire career as a player at his home club US Monastir without any achievements. His coaching career began and was only 29 years old, making it the youngest Tunisian coach at the time. He is considered one of the most successful coaches in Tunisia. He usually uses offensive play and a high-pressure plan as he is known for his toughness in training and his excessive anger towards his players and referees. During his managerial career, he was in charge of two national teams: the Tunisian and Libyan national football teams, he was also close to signing with the Moroccan team in 2016 before appointing Hervé Renard.

The Tunisian Handball League or the National A is the top Tunisian professional handball. The league started in 1956, just after Tunisia had gained its independence. 12 teams participate in the league, which is the strongest in Africa. The Espérance Sportive de Tunis H.C is the most successful team, and the first team in the world to win a total of 36 titles in its national league, 15 of them consecutively. Club Africain H.C have won 13 titles. Both clubs focus on international competitions rather than the domestic league, however, since they make up the bulk of the national team.

The Tunisian Handball Cup is an elimination handball tournament held annually in Tunisia. It is the second local most important competition in handball after the Tunisian Handball League. It started in 1956, just after Tunisia had gained its Independence, The tournament is dominated mostly by two teams from Tunis with Espérance de Tunis won 30 tournament Cups as a record 16 of them are consecutive followed by Club Africain with 19 Cups and Third team we find Etoile du Sahel with 7 Cups, however The tournament winners will represent Tunisia in the African Handball Cup Winners' Cup.

The 2014 African Handball Champions League was the 36th edition, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the auspices of the International Handball Federation, the handball sport governing body. The tournament was held from October 9–18, 2014 in four venues: Salle Beni Khiar, Salle Hammamet, Salle Nabeul and Salle Zouaoui, in Tunis, Tunisia, contested by 10 teams and won by Club Africain of Tunisia.

The 2015 African Women's Handball Super Cup, also known as Babacar Fall Super Cup, in honour of the first chairman of the African Handball Confederation, was a handball competition organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the auspices of the International Handball Federation, the handball sport governing body. The matches, held on 12 May 2015 in Libreville, Gabon, were contested by Club Africain, the 2014 African Handball Champions League winner and Espérance Sportive de Tunis, the 2014 African Handball Cup Winners' Cup winner, on the man's side and Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto, the 2014 African Women's Handball Champions League winner and Petro Atlético, the 2014 African Women's Handball Cup Winners' Cup winner, on the woman's side. Clube Africain and Primeiro de Agosto were the winners, the woman's match being the first ever final contested by teams from the same country.
