Elorm Kabu Amenyah (born 1 August 1992) professionally known as $pacely (pronounced Spacely) is a Ghanaian rapper and singer. He is a member of trap music collective La Meme Gang. He has collaborated with Kwesi Arthur, Nxwrth, RJZ, Pappy Kojo, Kiddblack, KwakuBS, Kofi Mole and Darkovibes. He released his debut EP Fine$$e or Be Fine$$ed in 2019, which features songs like "Somimu" and "Uber" featuring Cina Soul [1] and Joey B. [2] respectively.

Early life and career

Upon relocating to Ghana in 2012, he formed a music group in high school with friend Art Soul Kojo, who is now a painter and an artist. $pacely is called the Ad-lib King by his peers and Keanu- a moniker he gained for his very popular song "Digits". [3]

In 2016, $pacely met young Ghanaian Producer Kuvie. This led to the recording of his debut single "Love on Drugs". The single featured and was produced by now members of La Meme Gang- Darkovibes and Nxwrth. [4]

Spending much time together in the creative tutelage of Villain Sounds studio [5] formed a bond between him and five other musicians which led to the creation of the La Meme Gang collective. The name which translates as 'The Same Gang' was coined by $pacely. After the release of their debut EP, they secured four nominations at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana music Awards. [6]

In 2017, $pacely released 'Digits', [7] a heavy trap Nxwrth produced song. A remix to the song was later released which featured Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur.

Alongside his La Meme Gang members, $pacely was featured in a Boiler Room documentary [8] which spoke about the rich history of Ghanaian Culture and also sealed Boiler Room performance. [9]

Gh hiphop, Gh rap or Ghana hip hop is a hip hop genre, subculture and art movement which developed in Ghana during the late 1990s. The hiphop genre came into existence in Ghana through Reggie rockstone, who is known as the hiplife father and other notable musicians such as Jayso and Ball J. It first came to Ghana as Hiplife where Reggie rockstone introduced a fusion of hiphop beats with African sounds to create a whole new genre. Hiplife is different from Western Hiphop because it involves local dialects such as Twi, Ga, Ewe, Hausa and broken-English, popularly known in Ghana as "pidgin". Kwesi Arthur Ghanaian/ American rapper/ singer

Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior, known professionally as Kwesi Arthur, is a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter from Tema, Ghana. He rose to fame in 2017 with the hit single “Grind day” which received wide spread acclaim and a co-sign from rap heavyweights Sarkodie and Medikal. In 2019, his second EP Live from Nkrumah Krom Vol II garnered more than 2 million streams in the first week of its release.

Emmanuel Wayo professionally known as Wayo is a hip-hop and afro-tech artist. Wayo is a recording artist born in Nima, Accra. He rose to fame in 2004 when he went by the stage name D-Lane in the Wonda World rap group. In March 2018, his single Muscatella was declared number one in Ghana by Ghud Music. He was also on Ghanaian based radio station Live Fm's top 10 songs three times. In November of that year also, Muscatella again was featured as 'Song of the week' by American broadcasting network, VoA on their 'Music time in Africa' show

Gemini Orleans is a Ghanaian hip hop artist who is known for the singles Never forget me, O day O day which features Edem and Sarkodie. He was featured on Sarkodie's Makye Album which won the Album of the Year in the 2010 Ghana Music Awards. In 2013 he was featured on the Something ELse Album by rapper EL together with Donae'o, Joey B and M.anifest which won the VGMA Album of the Year.

Ahmed Froko professionally known as Nxwrth is a Ghanaian record producer, musician and DJ. He is one of the youngest producers on the Ghanaian music scene and used to be a member of trap music collective "La Meme Gang".
